Many do find it difficult to be bold in spreading the gospel, and Bible tracts do help; even if you just leave one for another to find. You never know when it comes to someone just when they need to hear The Word. Do you use them?

Was the first Thanksgiving celebration a 'religious' occasion? That is, did the first Thanksgiving participants give thanks to the Lord ??? When did this take place, and who were the people involved ??

I want to decorate my home with class. I want it to look expensive and tasteful, but I don't have unlimited funds. What color scheme should I use. I think the traditional red and green get so over used. Any suggestions?

Like I said, I'm interested in hearing what you have to say, so don't worry about getting reported because I disagree with you. I'm just interested in how you feel and why.

First of all I do write in mine. I bought a large one with normal paper instead of the flimsey paper so I could write in it. When I come across a verse that speaks to me, I write in the margin why it means something to me on that day and it's interesting to run into it again a couple of month's later.

However, last Sunday our Pastor was talking about holiness of the Bible and how we should respect God's word. He went on to say that you wouldn't leave a cup of coffee on your Bible or use it temporarily to hold open a window (true, I would not do those things) or you wouldn't scribble notes in it.

I don't think he would condemn people who do write their thoughts in their Bible, but it set me to wondering. I know a lot of people highlight passages and write cross-references in their Bibles, but do you feel it's wrong to write your thoughts in the margins?

Do you write your thoughts in your Bible? If you feel it is wrong to do this, please say so, I am interested. Thanks.

Once upon a time two explorers came upon a clearing in the jungle. In the clearing were growing many flowers and many weeds. One explorer says, "Some gardener must tend this plot." The other disagrees, "There is no gardener." So they pitch their tents and set a watch. No gardener is ever seen. "But perhaps he is an invisible gardener." So they set up a barbed-wire fence. They electrify it. They patrol with bloodhounds. (For they remember how H. G. Well's The Invisible Man could be both smelt and touched though he could not be seen.) But no shrieks ever suggest that some intruder has received a shock. No movements of the wire ever betray an invisible climber. The bloodhounds never give cry. Yet still the Believer is not convinced. "But there is a gardener, invisible, intangible, insensible, to electric shocks, a gardener who has no scent and makes no sound, a gardener who comes secretly to look after the garden which he loves." At last the Sceptic despairs, "But what remains of your original assertion? Just how does what you call an invisible, intangible, eternally elusive gardener differ from an imaginary gardener or even from no gardener at all?"
