Sigh. It seems these people are incapable of understanding what 'loving' means or that 'tough love' should not involve death.
On a lighter note, Jesus said 'There will always be the poor among you' so as long as there are happy delusional Xians to use oil, He's OK with the whole starving thing. I think he's happier transporting Xians to heaven. He misses the 'anointing oil'. (snicker)

It's funny how many people answered with "because of sin people die of starvation" (paraphrased). Everytime there is a calamity, or disaster in the world, christians rush forth and blame it on man's "sins".
People who live in the desert, and cannot grow crops, it's because of sin? Get real!! It's the desert, nothing grows, it's hot, no water, and temperture shifts between day and night are severe.
People who live in slums can't support themselves because the government is corrupt, nothing is getting to them. Food, supplies, medicines.
Look in our own country, the homeless people living on the street, freezing in the winter, burning in the summer. They have no food, or shelters to speak of. They can't afford to seek medical care.
It would be better served if the christians would quit begging money to send missionaries over seas to "spread the good news" and convert, and take that money and help how it is truely needed.
God's not busy being a doorman, he's too busy watching the fools here and laughing his **** off at them. Miracles happen by the hand of people, reaching out to those in need, not by putting a bible in their hand, but by putting a sandwich and a warm place to rest in their reach.

So who caused world hunger? I think only Man can end world hunger. Man created many of the problems of hunger and unequal distribution of wealth. (Other inherent problems, such as paucity of natural resources in some areas can certainly be overcome with our level of technology today). So why are people still hungry? I say look to Man. If I were God, do you think I'd come back every few seconds to fix the problems Man made for himself and keeps making? It is simply avoiding the problem to blame God or expect God to wave a hand and fix the problems Man took many years to create and propagate.

If everyone lived there life like they were supposed to, there be no world hunger. We all have to have these fancy computers to get online. I bet if everyone took the money they spent on computers, ipods and cell phones & fed the poor we would make a pretty good dent in world hunger. Hmmm I wonder if there are statistics for this.
Jesus told us how we are suppose to live, very few have the courage to do so, I know I don't.

God does not save everyone because life is supposed to be a test. Imagine if a teacher came by and gave a student an answer to a problem every single time they don't know the answer.
This is why bad things happen to good people.

God is like Santa. No one knows how he gets all those presents to every house with children in the world in just a few short hours. And have time to decide who gets coal. He does check his list twice.

God is still in charge of this world..this universe!
Because He is so good and wise, He gave people like you and me (regular people )the ability to help others.
You say He's a doorman; yeah...but only in the sense that He opens the door to His universe for each of us!
I agree, world hunger is a very big problem, but it is absolutely no reflection on God; we aren't doing everything we can do to take care of each other!

God uses hunger to keep human population down, just as he does for Gazelles, Storks, Bears, Iguanas and all his other creation. It's man who wants to declare himself God who tries to stop hunger, overpopulate and destroy God's creation. This is why God loved Abel, the Pastoralist, but hated Cain, the Farmer. This is why he didn't want us to eat from the Tree of Knowledge.

God is in control of it all.........He has time for His creation ALL the time.
World hunger is simply a result of the curse of sin. Right along side all the other bad things that happen to people on this planet.
Sin has ruined everything. But Christ will restore it.
