I have Gene Autry's "Rudolph" on a 78. Several other 78s, but none as notable as that. I'm the only 25 year old I know with a big cabinet record player/changer. Most of my collection is 33 1/2 though.
To PS: Records weren't on their last leg, actually. A lot of newer music is still pressed on records. It just takes some looking to find a place to buy them. I have a whole bunch that are from the last 10 years.

I have all of the 45's I bought in the 1950's...about 150 of them..and every 33 1/3 vinyl album Elvis ever made.
I used to have plenty of 78's but sold them all at a yard sale a few years back....got a good price for them too.

I have 45's still. I have record player with the 45 adapter. Don't remember when I played them last. Many of them are Elvis Presley. I have a few of '78s' that my parents had, but no player.

The only one that I still have is the old story books on a 45 of the movie E.T. I can't remember where it is though. It was in pretty good condition and had a picture of E.T. and Michael Jackson. Don't know if it was worth anything. But I do remember having Rick Springfield and The Stray Cats on LP. It was many years ago and wish I still had them.

Yes, i have a bruce springsteen 45, and a led zeppelin 45. I bought them in the late 80s, when records basically on their last leg.
I don't have a record player anymore and have to bring them to my parent's house if i want to listen ! LOL
And record players cost more than CD players or tape players.

I still have about 90- 331/3 records. And I still have a record turntable to play them on. Ocaisonally, I get a bug about an old artist or song and pop them on the record player, and crank it up. Brings back memories.
