Or is it not offensive to most people? I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinions, don't worry about getting reported or something if I disagree with you.

Yes, I can see why that is offensive, but I'm thinking that was just a slip of the tongue.

It certainly wouldn't be offensive to Christians -- there's much worse in their "gospels" such as Jews are descended from the devil. In my opinion, it was the Church that "created" Hitler. Just when I think American politics can't get any worse, they start using Christianity to attack others.... Why do people believe such garbage about the pharisees, an "eye for an eye," etc.?

From "Judaism for Everyone" by Shmuley Boteach:
…Jews felt that, in Christianity, their core teachings had been perverted and abused. They read some of the New Testament’s insidious attacks against them and wondered how a book claiming divine authorship can be so blatantly anti-Semitic. Although Christianity stemmed from Jewish origin, it took the concept of the Jewish God and associated it with a man; took the concept of sacrifice and associated it with a human sacrifice. Christianity took their cherished Torah and said that it had been superseded by a new testament. And finally, it took the concept of the chosen nation itself, claimed that the Jews had been abandoned by God, and called themselves the new Israel. Jews reacted with outrage. The Jews withdrew from mainstream Christian society. Christians’ burning Jews at the stake as heretics would do little to make them draw closer.

the Pharisical attitude isnt just in some Jewish people its also in ever religion trying to put rules on top of rules for people to be self righteous. yet other than comparing the extremist muslim promised a place in heaven for killing those that dont believe as they do-there is no comparison to Hitler the mad man-who killed even more than the 6 million of my people that didnt agree with him called political prisoners.

peace up, David the sweet pea, and i talk more about Pharasees in your next question

It's offensive if one is Jewish, which I am. The Pharisees were Jewish, and they did not construct death camps and attempt to kill six million people just because they worshipped differently. Not to mention millions and millions of non Jews that were also slaughtered by Hitler.

- edit, I've just used the link and that's not exactly what is being said...

Well let's see:

Hitler - An agent of satan used to kill millions of innocent Jews

Pharisees - Agents of satan used to oppress millions of Jews with the Law
