Set yourself up as an infallible authority on Scripture and then produce your own doctored bible to prove it to the masses.

It's easy. If you're really a deity, just put yourself in the books as such. A real deity wouldn't need to wait for humans to put it in the book, they would simply be who they are, do what they want without repercussion, and could simply insert whatever recognition he wished wherever he wished.

Well get enough people to say on a census form that they follow you and it will be legally recognised,as the religion"Jedi Knights" has in the UK,not a real religion but legally entitled to be recognised as such no matter how loony the title or belief....oooh I never mentioned mainstream religions by name, honest guvnor!

It is hard to become a diety when you are still alive, you mighjt have to die, and stay in the spiritual plane of existence. Also, you need to gather a body of strong believers. You have to get some kind of political influence, this could require quite a bit of money. It will take some kind of legislation, and it might have to be secretly added to a very important, and very huge bill, that nobody reads. Also people will want you to do all kinds of things, to demonstrate your divine power. Are you sure you want to go through all that?

If you want official recognition as a diety, either create a universe out of nothing, or rise from the dead three days after having been tortured and very definitely killed, in which you lost all your blood, and then buried.

Psalm 82 says that you are a god. That means that you have sovereign right to choose between eternal bliss and glory, or eternal destruction. The latter choice is very easy- do nothing. For eternal bliss, you must do as permanent gods do, take up your cross, deny your base instincts and love everyone as they should be loved.

If not one then a few.... people are sceptical these days.
And if you can't do that... then just baffle a bunch of ignorant yokels with smartarse trickery like David Blaine or Jesus. They might call that a "miracle" if you're lucky.
