My wife is a Minister, she makes about 30K plus a 10K housing allowance. And for that, she needed a Master's degree. Not a vocation for those seeking money unless you are a televangelist or belong to a poorly regulated church. In Canada, salaries are well regulated by denominations and are not a percentage of givings.

My pastor makes about $35,000 a year if I remember correctly.

At my church, we have a financial meeting twice a year, and in that, it discloses all the money that comes in and goes out. If we have any questions or are just curious, we can go over any of it at any time other than that as well.

Dear Dr

I believe they are paid by a complex algorithm which takes into account the number of words, the number of attendees, the size of the collection plate and the volume of the preacher.

Thank You
Joe

Depends on the size of church...those mega churches I am sure they make millions a year. Look at that crook Benny Hinn...he lives like a billionaire.

One church i understand approximately is British methodism - wherein the respond is £18,000 yet they get provided with a house for loose as properly. Anglicans get slightly extra. Catholic monks are completely distinctive - they are no longer paid in any respect yet take what they choose for from church funds.

Depends on the size of his flock of Sheep. Also on how honest he is. Some are actually in it because they truly believe what they preach. Others are just good con-men. I know some make a hell of a lot.

In the town that I live in some make no money at all because the church hasn't enough money to pay them. Some make around 50K

I would say that from 30 000 dollars and up. Mormons do not get paid. That is how their church is one of the wealthiest ones.

Preachers need to get paid. They need to bring bread to the table at home.
