I see comments all the time like; " God doesn't exist because you can't prove he does!" in many different forms. If you agree with that then you should also agree with the following.

The Titanic was actually NOT lying on the bottom of the ocean until it was discovered.
The atom WAS the smallest particle until we found smaller.
The earth really WAS flat until we discovered that it was round.
There were in fact NO micro waves, radio waves, microscopic organisms, bacteria, viruses, or the city of Ancor Watt until people found them.

I'm sure you agree that the above are rediculous assertions. By the same logic, does that not then mean that just because God has not been (and most likely cannot) be proven, it does NOT prove definitively that there is in fact no God?

Isn't it true that the only thing lack of proof proves is that there is lack of proof? Doesn't this prove atheism to be illogical and (for people who reject faith) agnostisism the only logical alternative to religion

Besides online. When was the last time you had a conversation about atheism? Did you talk about fairies? Did they laugh at you or was it a respectful conversation? Plus how many times have you told them to go to hell.

Four men and a girl escaped from sinking ship. A girl, an old man and a sailor were in one boat. The girl's fiance and his friend were in another boat. The two boats got stranded on two separate desolate islands.
The girl tried to go to her fiance's island but the boat need to be repaired first. The sailor offered to repair it but she must sleep with him in return. The girl asked the old man for his advise, but the old man just told her to follow her heart. Later she decided to sleep with the sailor and he fixed the boat.
So, she managed to go to the other island, met the fiance and told him the story. The fiance got mad at her for sleeping with other man, and chased her away. The friend came up and told her not to worry, he would try to patch things up between her and the fiance, but in the mean time, he requested the girl to have sex with him.

Rank this five people from the best to the worst (and why do you rank them so). Story stays as is.. there is no 'what if' condition.

Even when well bled, almost all meat contains blood. Cut up a raw beef roast or some chicken legs and you will be guaranteed to find blood.
If 'abstaining from blood' is so crucial that you would refuse a potentiality lifesaving blood transfusion or medicines containing blood (i.e. some antivenins for snake bite) and choose to die instead, then why eat meat?
Ask any butcher and they will tell you most if not all meat contains some amount of blood.

To me it is totally unimportant. I see the book of Genesis as an allegory. Allegories are simply using one story to tell another story. Jesus did it many times. Is there a problem in viewing Genesis as one?

I view the theory of evolution simply as God's handiwork.

What's your position on this?

Lo más importante para mí es tener la amistad buena con mis amigos.
Siempre guardo los secretos de mis amigos y aceptarlos tal como son.
Me gusta estar con mis amigos y trabajar mucho para mis examenes porque las notas que recibo son muy importantes para mi, tambien me gusta tocar la flauta en la banda.
No me gusta jugar los deportes porque no me interes nada y no es divertido correr en mi opinion.
Mis intereses incluyen tocando la flauta y participiendo en la banda. Ademas yo estudio much y soy una buen estudiante.
Todos mis amigos son sinceros y responsibles.
Mis amigos y yo nos llevamos muy bien porque tenemos mucho en común.

Almost all of my co-workers are Chistians. I won't name my profession, it's not something common(no we aren't lawyers) We have great customer service, that's why we're more expensive that anyone else and we're a Christian ran family owned and operated company who has thousands of people working for us across the United States. We make good money at what we do...our job is basically to lie to people, the job decription is against almost all Christian values, there are some things that we allow to go on that breaks the law. How can a Christian do this?

It's also funny because our customers are die hard Christians too. When I'm in meetings with them one minute they're sweet loving people who you wish you could be like, preaching the word of God talking about how he's blessed their lives so much...and the next they are on the phone with someone chewing their head off with no respect in their voice what-so-ever.....exactly what my co-workers do and I have come to expect it.

I have an on going dispute about parking with my neighbor. Keep in mind parking is hard to find in my area.

There is a space that is partially red and if one car is willing to park at least 6 inches into the red then you can fit 2 cars in that spot. If you are not willing to park into the red then it can only fit one car. I am NOT willing to park into the red as I do not want to get a ticket. My neighbor says it is "just fine" to park in the red and he does it all of the time to allow for another space. When I refuse to park in the red I get nasty notes on my car and even yelled at. I just tell him that I am not parking in the red!

What can I do? I just don't want any kind of fights nor do I want a ticket.

I just keep telling him that HE can park in the red all he wants but that I am not doing it.

Please help!

Been trying to think of a way to ask this that will not offend Catholics as I do not want to do that. However I do want people's opinions about this. So I all I can do is say to Catholics is I mean no offense. On to the question.

Catholics often talk about Jesus' promise that the gates of Hell will not prevail against the church. And claim this as a proof that the Catholic church is the true church. Isn't is just possible that God was responsible for the reformation. Not to bash the Catholic church but during the medieval times and before the reformation the Catholic church had allowed corruption in. They were doing unbiblical things such as selling indulgences. Isn't is possible to prevent Hell from prevailing against the church that God split off a remnant still faithful to Him and this remnant became the protestant church? A side effect being that the Catholic church had to reform itself as well. What do you think?

Darius, about 400ad was the first to attack the diety of Christ directly, Arius followed on his heels attacking the incarnation and deity of Christ. Athenius stood in opposition to Arius as you recall.

these attacks on Jesus were on the person, nature and works of him and were aimed more directly at older christians.

Darwin publishes his fairy tales and the people who do not understand the sciences of genetics and so forth jump on that and try to go with the idea there is no God.

Now you have the publication of, and the filming of a movie called the golden compass. An atheists story about children who will eventually in book 3, not in film, kill God.

You have an attack on the youngest of believers through books.

In your opinion, can you reasonably believe this is not the end of the time of grace, the end of the time of the gentiles?

She kept touching it, even though I asked her to stop, since my package is quite delicate, and if it's touched enough, some contents might come spewing out. Allow me to explain.

I was on the bus earlier today, and I was carrying with me a box that contained an old lamp that my aunt had just given to me. That is the package that I was referring to earlier in this post. She sat next to me and kept poking it and prodding it, wanting to what was inside. I told her it was a lamp. She wanted to see it, but by then, it was time for me to get off. She poked and prodded my package a few times while I was getting up and walking away.

Is there any real way to deal with a situation like this?

This is hilarious to almost any thinking person, Christian or otherwise. It claims to teach the "truth" of Biblical creation. What it really does though is to show how utterly absurd a literal interpretation of the creation story is.

It says most Christians are wrong, and "proves" that six days of creation "had" to be actual 24-hour days.

It says that nothing was "prehistoric" and that even the word "prehistoric" was just made up "to brainwash us."

It even has a walking, talking snake, complete with hands.

And the poor schmuck in the story who is being told all this says, "That blows me away! My mind is reeling!" If that story blows his mind, it's no wonder he can't comprehend science.

This is published by Chick Publications, which has been producing mini-comic books full of such stories since I was a kid in the '60's and selling them for 15c each. Don't you wonder how much money they've made by "saving" souls?
