The question:- What came first, the chicken or the egg? Does not logic tell us that all they needed was one chicken and one rooster, and then the egg was laid?

Depending on what one believes the argument will continue. I agree that the chicken and rooster were there and an egg was laid, which hatched into a baby chick.

Actually, a rooster isn't necessary for a hen to lay an egg.
Roosters only come in to play when the egg needs to be fertilized.

Eggs came first, from dinosaurs who later evolved into chickens.

Reminds me of the chicken crossing the road-splat!!!
Never ever try to use logic with God. We have never thought on his/he/ it, level, ever.
