From my experience, many Christians also believe (to some extent) in astrology. Are they compatible?

Astrology and Bible theology is not compatible. But having said that I have come across 'Christians' who read their astrology signs everyday in the paper. So you can link astrology to the mind-set of some 'Christians' but not to Christianity.

No, they're not compatible, but yes, there can be a logical link between the two. Remember that both astrology and logic are inventions of man. You can logically link virtually anything to anything else, because logic is an exercise of the intellect, and Christianity is a thing of wisdom. The house of the intellect is the mind, and the house of wisdom is the heart. The intellect of man is easily deceived, and nothing has so plagued man more than the intellect. The heart can be deceived, but it is far more difficult. More often, having been deceived, the heart often follows the mind. But, it is in the heart that one is truly defined, for as a man purposes in his heart, so is he. Do not trust your eyes, or your senses; seek the truth in your heart, and seek wisdom from God. THEN you will find the truth, and the truth will set you free.

I would like to refer you to an author of many books. His name is E. Raymond Capt. The Bible says that the "heavens declare the glory of God". This can be taken quite literally.

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge.

3 There is no speech or language
where their voice is not heard.

4 Their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,

5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
( Psalm 19 )

The Glory of God is Jesus Christ. And according to E, Raymond Capt, and if he's right, the Bible, the stars are telling of Christ.

I think that there is truth in that.

The title is "The Glory of the Stars"

If this is true, God put the stars in their places. For a Christian like myself, that makes a lot of sense.

That's what puzzles me. Astrology was once the only "occult" science that was allowed. How come? Isn't that like being a witch or something? And doesn't the Billie preach against that?
I don't see how they can be compatible.

Yes.
There are many things we do not know.
There is evidence of many things we can't surely prove.
We cannot prove "astrology".
We cannot prove God.
We cannot prove Jesus.
There is no way to know if there is any link between Astrology and Christianity
Therefore, there might be one.

Wrong...Christians do not believe in astrology....if they do, they are not reading their bible. God clearly warns about anything to do with astrology or the occult in any way.

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:" (Gen 1:14)

Apparently one of the reasons god created the stars was so people could use them "for signs"; i.e. astrology.

It is possible to believe that God speaks to us through nature (not a booming voice in the head). If so, why not through planetary, stellar and lunar allignment?

... I don't think that astrology can be logically linked to anything.

Of course, it can be categorised - it gets filed under "bunkum".
