Because they are weak minded and their faith can't stand evolution. They don't see it as the answer to how and not why. I do.

Good question, the only problem is that no matter what answer is given it will make no sense and mean nothing to you.... You are not a believer nor are you open enough to even listen with reason to any answer given by a Child of God.... but, on the off chance that I am wrong in this assumption I will answer you, from the perspective of a Child of God.. and keep in mind, that a Child of God , any one who takes the Word of God as *truth* will answer you this way..... The Bible is 100% truth, that means from begining to end, maybe NOT the translations but the REAL and untouched manuscripts, now having said that, I will say this also, any person who is sitting on the fence about WHO created earth and all else, people, animals, universe, etc., is an ENEMY of God..... I repeat, is an ENEMY of God !!!! Believing IN God is NOT the point of the Bible, it is BELIEVING God, full tilt, no if and or buts, just full out *faith*...... And now on to the next part, the proven of false hoods in the Bible...... By whom ? Non-beleivers ?? People dig and scrape and dig some more, and have been for 1000's of years to disprove God.. Big whoop and big deal !! People assume and take it that just because things are not found, like the ark, Jesus tomb, which does NOT have a body in it anyway, and or what ever else non-believers wish to look for and have, does NOT mean they were not real and happened.... Jimmy Hoffas' body has not been found.. Was he real ? Will he ever be found ? Doubt it !!!! The problem with people like you is the damanding of *proof* , no matter what, it will NEVER be enough..... You lol, lol, lol, all you want my friend, and scoff at us 40% all you can and want..... Nothing will turn me and the other 39% from KNOWING you are WRONG and God is RIGHT !!! All this *proof* you and others *think* you have is nothing more than children playing their foolish games of *guess* and *maybe*...... So play on my friends, play on........ go in peace......... God bless

Did you know that anyone can find "research" to prove or disprove literally any philosophy? It's true, one can. That's just what you've done here. Christianity is not about folks like you trying to prove there is no God. One is a Christian simply because one makes the decision to take, on faith, that the Bible is the inspired word of God. It's a personal decision. That's all. Whether or not there are discrepancies in the word of God is beside the point. The basic tenant is that God is the creator of the universe, He is love, and He sent His son to die as the supreme sacrifice for the sins of the world. He even came to save you, whether or not you believe it. Yes, God loves you that much.

People love to go to www.talkorigins.org, but they never get the other side of the story: http://www.trueorigin.org
And skeptics have been using those arguments against the Bible for centuries and they have been dealt with again and again. Here are a couple of websites that deal with many of them:

You like to concentrate on contradictions and inaccuracies, but there is only one bible.
The bible is not a science or history book; it is a religious book. Applying scientific method to revelation is just another way of chasing the wind.
Answer: Take what is useful and leave the rest.

I have seen lists like that before. They consist of people taking things wildly out of context, and claiming that one part of scripture refutes the other. Add in a little Reducio Ad Absurdum, and BINGO! No more Bible to worry about!
The problem is, they don't really understand what they're talking about.
You can't take a handful of statements make any real conclusion. The Bible is a huge book with hundreds of chapters. It's also a spiritual book, and the natural man cannot make sense out of it. It's a very interesting concept.
Suffice it to say, it will not make sense to you, because it's not written to you. Get into a relationship with the author, and suddenly it makes a lot more sense.

An inaccuracy in the Bible does not negate the existence of God any more than an inaccuracy in a science book negates science.

I would say 40% believe for the same reasons the other 60% also believe.
When you pick and choose your sources of information you will end up with what you want. Why not just sit back for a while and listen to yourself breathe?

"Those that listen and not talk, are those that learn the most. Those that do not listen, and try to prove how much they know often prove the opposite."
Have you studied the Bible? Have you taken a look at multiple sources from both sides and truly listened without bias? Have you spoken with people from both sides of the issue and listened to what they have to say instead of automatically saying they're wrong?
Think before you speak, and more importantly, listen.

Roffle. I'm sorry, Phi.... Weren't you already born again? You're the furthest from atheism you can get, and in a technical, not a scientific field. I love these "attack the person" people attacking you and getting it wrong, wrong.... Frankly, why should we believe Christians about anything?
