"Don't Laugh at Me"

I'm a little boy with glasses, the one they call a "geek"
A little girl who never smiles cuz I got braces on my teeth
And I know how it feels to cry myself to sleep

I'm that kid on every playground who’s always chosen last
A single teenage mother tryin' to overcome my past
You don't have to be my friend but is it too much to ask

Don't laugh at me; don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Some day we'll all have perfect wings

I'm the beggar on the corner
You’ve passed me on the street
I wouldn't be out here begging if I had enough to eat
And don't think I don't notice that our eyes never meet

I'm Fat. I'm Thin. I’m Short. I'm Tall. I'm Deaf. I'm Blind.
Hey aren't we all?

Don't laugh at me; don’t call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same

Don't laugh at me.. :(

With ~Love~ In Christ.. :)

There is a debate at work and and Mgmt says the employees should "eat" the hour, the workers say, No, an hour is an hour and we want to be compensated.

How does it work where you are?

Hopefully people will read the details.

Theft of a service or rape?

A woman judge said it was theft of a service:
http://www.philly.com/inquirer/home_region/20071031_Phila__Bar_slams_judge_in_rape_case.html

What do you think? Read the article, take a minute to ponder, then answer.

What are the implications of making it a theft of service? Will it discourage women from prostituion?

What are the implication of keeping it rape?

Was the judge right or wrong?

If a maid was forced to clean a house by gunpoint what is that? Would this situation be similiar?

Then again, rape is defined as forced sex on an unwilling participant. I'm sure the lady was unwilling when she saw that gun.

I will refrain from giving my opinion at the moment but I'm curious to see how other people think.

What do you think?

I have set up a site for donations so I can go get my surgery (investigation surgery for possible endo and then removal of any endo) which is very costly, and as much as I try I cannot afford it. My question is just to see how many people would actually donate to a cause like this? Ive seen many sites out there with people asking for donations so they can get rid of debt and some so people can just make a living of other peoples donations... all of these were very succesful.
No rude answers please, im not actually asking you to donate to me im just askinf if you would donate to a cause like this.
Thanks!

Many rejects or are dissatisfied with themselves but, God's Word says differently.
How can we be sure that God was well aware of our conception and our forthcoming exsistance?

Today is my 17th birthday, but as of 4:45 am, this morning a call came that my grandmother passed away. She had been in the hospital for a little over 2 weeks. Since my father wasnt there and my mom was a single parent who worked the 9-5 to support us( I have no siblings), until I was 15 my grandma lived with me and she raised me into the moral person and loving person I am today. I Love her sooo much and its so hard to let go of her and she her in her final days suffering. I had an omen she might pass away on my birthday and I was scared of it. My mom says that She loved me so much that she might have wanted to give her spirt to me on the say i died so I will always remember her. But I am scared that maybe God (I am christian) is mad at me for someothing that she passes on day I entered the Earth. I really need some help and would appreciateit. It's really hard especially getting the death news about 40minutes ago.

Its just whenever I point out a part of the bible that makes no sense or is weird or sometimes even evil, I am told that it is not meant to be taken literally and should be interprated this way etc etc...

So can I take whatever parts I like as analogies? What about the ten commandments? If I do not like them can I see them as things open to my interpretation? Please do answer I am truly interested in how this is justified.

Two hunters are walking through the first and suddenly one of them clasps his chest and falls to the ground. Frantically, the other hunter calls 911 and yells "I think my friend has died, what do I do?" The operator calmly responds "First, you have to see if he's really dead". "ok" says the hunter, "hold on". Then there's a loud BANG!!!, and the hunter gets back on the phone and says "I'm sure he's dead now... now what do you want me to do?"

I believe in Jesus and I have seen changes in me lately as far as my mentality goes. But there are some things that are hard to let go - how can we do that? If we die with that one sin we didn't repent - do you think its fair to say we are thrown in the lake of fire? What are your opinions?

2007-11-02 01:12:58 · 12 answers · asked by Razor 5 in Religion & Spirituality

I know as Christians we are urged to "Keep putting up with each other", because we are all imperfect.
And "forgive one another"

I remember my mom told me once, when someone hurts you, they gain a certain level of power over your emotions, and when you don't forgive them they keep that power. So in order to regain control over your feelings you should forgive them for hurting you.

As much as I understand Jehovah's teachings and my mom's wise words, is it un- Christian-like to not forgive someone who isn't sorry for what they did?

Here is a quote from Ray Nagin, the mayor of New Orleans, a government official.

"On Monday, Nagin said God wanted New Orleans to be predominantly black and said he didn't care what the predominantly white Uptown section of the city had to say about it."

'"I don't care what people are saying Uptown or wherever they are. This city will be chocolate at the end of the day," he said. "This city will be a majority African-American city. It's the way God wants it to be."'
http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/01/17/nagin.city/index.html

How come he was not forced to resign after making remarks like that? Don Imus made a degratory remark about black women basketball players from a certain university and was forced to resign (he's coming back by the way). What Imus said is not nearly as racist as what Nagin said and Nagin is a public official.

There is a witch hunt going on in this country rooting out only white people that have made certain remarks.
