And I quote:

Leviticus 21:17-24 - "Say to Aaron: 'For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God. No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; no man with a crippled foot or hand, or who is hunchbacked or dwarfed, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles. No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to come near to present the offerings made to the LORD by fire. He has a defect; he must not come near to offer the food of his God. He may eat the most holy food of his God, as well as the holy food; yet because of his defect, he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.' " So Moses told this to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites.

Whats that all about?

A couple of examples:

* Exodus 21:20-21 – "If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property."

* Colossians 3:22-24 – "Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Isn't that a bit off?

Long story short: I furnished the apartment, even my roommate's bed, from the couches and entertainment center to the forks...I payed for it all. She hasn't bought a damn thing for this house, not even cleaning supplies or toilet paper. She is the laziest person I know...I work a 9 hr day...she MIGHT go to class. She lounges around all day doing not ****. She hasnt lifted a finger since we've been roomies (4 mnths). Oh and Im not only cleaning up after her-but also her friend who has been living with us(without my permission) FOR FREE. So, now I'm cleaning up after 2 slobs. I just made my free-loadin 3rd roommate pay-up, but she refused to pay anything more than $50. But she is my roommates friend so she has to deal with her. Their garbage & dishes pile up until I finally clean them b/c I cant stand the mess after so long. They leave trash everywhere and laundry in the washer & dryer for days till I fold it for them. I have talked to her but it hasnt done any good. Any advice?

We have a woman at work who ALWAYS goes to the toilet just before lunch time for a poop.
The stench is bad, I mean really bad. My desk is 25 M away from the toilet door down the passage and I still get the stench, even air freshner does not camo the smell...
It spoils lunch time for everyone in the office, except her, who the casually eats at her desk as if nothing is wrong...
How do we change her behavior?

For example...

1 Corinthians chapter 14:

As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

Every job that i have been on there is always this but kissing white woman or man that think they are entitled to know why you are doing this or that and they usually hold the same position as you or have a lower position. I just think that they always have to feel like they are superior and have to know everything under any circumstance. I notice that whites tend to be the best but kissers and are always looking for brownie points from the boss man.

This is for Ali...I had posted an answer and then updated it, I don't know if you got my update...but here is the anser to your question:
What you are failing to understand is that this was revealed during a time of war. You are completely missing the point....

If your fighting in the Name of God, then don't overpass our limits (basically don't fight them unless they fight you). And if they fight you then kill them, because their death is better than the torment they are going to cause later. Their death is their reward for waging a war against you. Key Point...BUT IF THEY CEASE, ALLAH IS OFT-FORGIVING MOST MERCIFUL. It's funny how one reads that.

Is this not still practiced today. If you have a guy strapped with a bomb on his way to kill a bunch of people wouldn't you rather him be killed first. Don't the U.S. soldiers kill thousands of innocent civilians just in case they are insurgents.

The Bible promises us, that if you look for God you will find him:

Matthew 7:Ask, Seek, Knock
7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

No matter who we are, we are all sinful, even Chrisitans, none of us are perfect. Nothing we could ever do could earn us right standing with God.

John 3: 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

God does not want to condemn or judge you, he wants to be your friend, he wants you to know the immense love he has for you. So since we could not pay the price for our wrongdoing, he paid it for us by sacrificing his own s

Time and time again, I receive countless emails from witches in the UK. I do not recall receiving any from a Christian. What is going on over there? Is it popular to be a witch? Historically, the rise of witchcraft in any given culture meant the demise of traditional values. I would love to hear from anyone in (ALL) of the UK that is not impressed with white magic or wicca. I know everyone is not into witchcraft, so do send any responses claiming generalizations. If I have a question, I ask. This is exactly what I am doing; I am asking.
