No, silly, monkeys come from man. I think he caught his wife screwing around. Hope you had a happy Halloween and the little one got lots of goodies.

Fireball, what's wrong with his avatar? I love it and so does everyone else. Nit picking.

On one hand, if he did, then that wouldn't look good for him. Hardly a God that would be worthy of worship.

"Look at what I have done. I have made evil. Now do you want to know more about me?"

On the other hand, if he didn't then, there is something in existence that was there before him.

"Look at this thing that was there before me. Now ignore it. I am better, honestly, I really, really am!"

It's a problem then. There are a couple of replies. I'll give you Augustine's elegant answer, because it is quite brilliant.

Augustine, asked, "Is evil a thing?"

Reasoning to himself that if evil was a thing, then a question mark would be put above God's name. And since Augustine knew, from other independent reasons and sources, that God wasn't evil or bad, he started to doubt whether God had created or made evil. His solution was to understand evil, not as a thing, but as a corruption. A messing up, of something originally good. He decided to say then, that evil is a "privation" of good.

There are other lines of reply too, but I think this is the most interesting, logically valid and elegant one. The problem with this reply, is that it leaves the real feelings, that we have, now looking at evil in the world around us and in ourselves sometimes, relatively unanswered. For that, I know of no other hope than a personal friendship with God, where he is a friend in times of difficulty, a rock and anchor in the storms of life. I have found him to be a fully trustworthy friend in the last 6 years that I have been a Christian.

No. When Lucifer and his cronies decided not to obey God, they were the ones who started the whole mess. One of the more interesting aspects of that situation was the creation of Hell. Why didn't God simply wipe out Satan and his devils? Because God in his infinite mercy knew that Satan and his followers would PREFER the torments of Hell to Oblivion! He could have wiped them out but he allowed them to continue living, because they had been given a free will, just as humans would be given later, and He has allowed them to live with the decision they had made. Another thing, why was God so much *harder* on the devils than he was with Adam and Eve? Because the angels were perfect ; God held them to a higher standard of behavior than He did/does with humans. And when an angel makes up its mind, it stays made up. Unlike with humans where we can change our mind 20 or more times a day. That is why God gave us a second chance. When evil happens, its because that individual has chosen to take that path, until he/she decides not to. And it isn't God's fault.Would you rather have a free will or not?

No, God created the potential for evil, by allowing for free will. Without creating the potential (possibility) for evil, then goodness (and virtue)would have no value, being that it would be the only choice.

lol ! i've seen that monkey before does it look somthing like this one..?http://jimintonic.com/archives/fg.evil.monkey.jpg

Well God made the first monkies so ya i guess God contributed to creating the monkey.. but the monkeies later had sex and mad more monkies.. those monkies grew up in bad neighbourhoods and then they influenced their monkey babies to be bad.. kinda like the humans i guess. Maybe the monkey in your closet is deeply troubled.. have you ever tried to talk to him and have him open up?

I say No cause I feel it’s more a matter of good verses evil Ying and yang. So if God would be Good the Devil would be good and they would balance each other.

I'd imagine the evil monkey's parents had sex and evil-monkey popped out of the mother-monkey's nads.
