Do you look down upon atheists?

I certainly don't. I respect anyone who makes their own choices after fully examining all of the options. There is no way of knowing 100% whether or not God exists, so why should I look down on them? I do look down on the atheists who come on here mocking the theists, but I also look down on the theists who mock the atheists. This has nothing to do with their religious-preferences, it has to do with how arrogant they are.

I don't look down upon atheists as a whole, I do give the thumbs down if they are answering a question for Christians and are just making fun of religion. I guess I don't understand why a non-Christian would answer a Christian question.
If they give an honest thought out answer in a Christian question, I am not inclined to give a thumbs down.

I think that most people tend to look down upon what they don't understand. I try very hard not to judge or look down on others for any reason, but I must say, I do not understand the views, reasonings and beliefs of people who say they are atheists. However, people are free to believe as they wish to believe as I am free to do the same. I do not push my beliefs on others and do not want others pushings their beliefs on me.

The people I've encountered who look down on atheists actually fear us.
Too many stories to tell, but it's my experience here in the deep south of the usa.

When you say people, are you particularly targeting Christians? Because not ALL people look down on atheists. I don't. But in my personal opinion, their lack in belief in God is a mistake.

I don't, but then, I am one technically.
Other people do because we don't conform to their beliefs. The fact that we don't conform to any other theistic beliefs doesn't seem to satisfy the average believer.
