Perhaps they do... in fact I'm sure some more modern ones do.
I'm also sure that most prefer cash up-front... or cheques with large numbers on them. 10% goes toward keeping the church running, and 90% goes toward the pastor's new car.

Some do if they are set up to do so. Some people tithe that way. Most churches are small and do not have the means to do so. Churches have to pay their electric light bill light everyone else, in some ministries the pastor and their family live on the donations given by their flock. There is nothing wrong with that everyone has to make a living and pay their bills. The pastors do services, counsel people, preside over funerals and baptisms, providing services for the fees or tithes they are paid, that is their job. Plus giving to those who knock on their door looking for food or shelter. Let alone pay other people who help in the office or do janitorial services.
I don't see it wrong to pay that way its all negotiable tender.
You don't have to be a business/or legal charity to use paypal I use it to pay my friends or they me when we send CDs to each other.

There are many churches and religious organizations that take Paypal donations. Some use the money to fund activities or to get special guest speakers.

Some of them have swipe card facilities and ATM's. http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1648022,00.html
Edit:
Oh and I just found this
http://nexus404.com/Blog/2006/09/30/church-kiosk/
In some weird way with cash being used less, I suppose this would happen, but to actually have them in churches reminds me of something??? Oh that's it ' whipping money lenders from the temple'.

give them time
my church does not even take an offering
it is not about money
guess your church is not relying on God fully
we take no offering and have a box in the back (so it is between you and God) we have enough to have radio programs on around the world and send millions of tracts books and tapes out free. We dont solicit donations at any time. We accept what comes from a right heart.

I think paypal would consider the church as
a business... or legal charity.
If your considering giving or setting it up
I think you may want to contact an acct. or
lawyer.
