In September, being the curious eighteen year olds we are, some other kids and I played with a Ouija board. Well.. I asked the questions and they did the triangle thing. Anyway, the only person who really "knew" me there was my best friend, and she wasn't touching it. Ahh, anyway. I was asking questions and they had their hands on the board and all of a sudden my name got spelled out on the board. I thought they were messing around, so of course I told them to stop it, and then asked (as if by chance it could mean something) who was speaking to us. Then it spelled out my great-grandmother's name - who had died two years earlier. No one knew her name. I'm not even sure my best friend knew her name. I thought they were still messing with me, so I asked how she died and it spelled "Heart" out. She died of heart failure. I pretty much just freaked out, started crying, and made them stop the game. They were so freaked, just because I don't freak out about 'paranormal stuff'.

Never again.

I know basically everyone in the world thinks they are wack jobs, but I'd be curious to know who actually agrees with them. I personally think that they are just a bunch of inbred pieces of trash that have nothing better to do than hate anyone and everyone they can. This being said, is there anyone that actually agrees with them, and if so WHY?!?!?!?!?!?

It is all made up. There is no such place as Australia or Antarctica. If there were a huge land mass like Antarctica there would be more people on it even if it was cold. I have never met an australian person. I have only ever seen that crocodile person and he was a media figure positioned to fool people. I have never been to australia. Do you know anyone who has been to australia? probably not. Although there may be moderators watching the questions and they will place fake answers saying that they are from australia or know someone who is. I have never seen a kangaroo, even if they are real they are probably in africa and they tell different lies to africans. What kind of instrument is a didgeridoo? thats some fake bullshit right there, some person just messed with a rain stick and blew in it. AUSTRALIA IS FAKE AND THEY ARE LYING TO US ALL.

Jesus often scolded religious people, he always took time to reach out to sinners and those that "religious" people scorned.
many of the religious rituals and traditions we see were never taught by Jesus or the Apostles.
or can not be found in the bible.
PLEASE; no bashing .
I think men have drifted away from the message of Jesus and the free gift of salvation thru his sacrfice, and burdened people with religious rituals.
do you think this has caused Christianity to get a bad rap?

the "eternal damnation of torment and suffering" hell that christians keep whining about.

This is it. Here and now. we all died, and were born stright into Hell.

No way out, cause when you die, you just get born back here again!

ideas of salvation are just there to torment us with false hope.

am i the only person that sees this?

Where as the atheist must face the world in a "sober like" manner and take what comes there way without any superior being or fanciful afterlife for comfort?

If you were raised away from any sorts of religion. If you had never heard of Jesus or God, and then one day, you hear your friend talking about a being in the sky who does all the wonderful things he does, wouldn't you think he was absolutely crazy?

Now you might know how I feel.

"If you want to get together in any exclusive situation and have people love you, fine- but to hang all this desperate sociology on the idea of The Cloud-Guy who has The Big Book, who knows if you've been bad or good- and CARES about any of it- to hang it all on that, folks, is the chimpanzee part of the brain working." -Frank Zappa

It seems pretty common to me that a politically conservative person is usually religious. Do you (as a person of religion) let your faith control every decision you make? Is religious influence the reason that conservative political parties seem more united? If this is the case, who is really making the moral decisions?

You can read my last several questions to verify this. I've been diagnosed terminally ill and been on a quest to prove God exists for 2 years. I would always have this thought pop into my mind "In time I will know" Well that time came last night.

I was sound asleep at about 3am I started to wake only to my body shaking, as soon as a began to come to, a dep voice so powerful I can't really describe it came into my mind and said (i quote) My son, you are my child and what am I? I am God and you were created in my image. I ask you my son, who is God? (VERY, VERY POWERFUL) GOD IS LOVE." I sat there in a state I really cannot describe. It was a calm, yet overwhelemed feeling. Thoughts came into my mind. We are humand, created in "Gods image" We are the only beings on earth capable of experience in both giving and accepting love. If we are created in Gods image, then this is true, because God IS LOVE!

Love for your mother, your daughter, you father and eachother cannot be explained!

Religion isn't a new thing, but Christianity and actually all other religions are relatively new. You don't see anyone worshiping Roman gods or Egyptian gods now a days. Is Christianity just going to be an ancient religion in 2000 years?

Deuteronomy 4:16- 23.

Deut 4:16 states: "Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female."

Deut 4:23 states: "Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee."

If your avatar is the likeness of any living thing, you are violating God's law. Don't try to get out of it by saying that your avatar isn't a graven image, because the Bible clearly states that a "graven image OR the LIKENESS of any thing" is forbidden. For most of us on R&S, our avatar is the likeness of some living thing.

Man, are you guys in trouble.
