I have a postcard with this on & just wondered about it, thank you in advance.

From what I can find on the web it appears to be Icelandic.

Lol & now I've found a site saying it's Swedish.

GOTT NYTT ÅR is Swedish.
Gott = Good
Nytt = New
ÅR = Year.
Translated it means Happy New Year.
"Good night all" should be: God natt alla:

As you can see, Swedish and English are very much alike.
Som du kan se, är Svenska och engelska väldigt (mycket) lika.

The word Väldigt covers both very and much.

Looks like Danish or Icelandic.
Not sure exactly what it means but I'd guess at "Good night all"

Oh well, Mike, below - at least I had a go, even if I was way wide of the mark! I did get that it was Scandinavian though!!

It's Swedish, it means Happy New Year. Pronounce it "Gott noot awr"
