I know basically everyone in the world thinks they are wack jobs, but I'd be curious to know who actually agrees with them. I personally think that they are just a bunch of inbred pieces of trash that have nothing better to do than hate anyone and everyone they can. This being said, is there anyone that actually agrees with them, and if so WHY?!?!?!?!?!?

God, if he does exist as Christianity defines him, doesn't hate homosexuals. He may hate the "sin" of homosexuality, but he doesn't hate the homosexual. And therefore anyone who hates homosexuals are committing an affront to God. Love thy neighbour and all that jazz, right?

I am retired Air Force from the Vietnam era. We had lots of protesters. We were spit on. We were called baby killers. We were hated. But I never heard of anyone disrupting a service man or woman's funeral before this Fred Phelps came along. I am a very peaceful man and I am 60. I practice the golden rule and live and let live. However, having said that what I am feeling like doing is against everything I live by. I will be there when good ole Fred dies with a brass band.

I was in the Army for eight years. I was a Christian when I went in, and I'm a pastor now. There's no excuse for what those guys are doing during the funerals. What world are we living in when "the church" terrorrizes the family of American troops, and the Biker gangs are the ones that have to step in to lend a hand to the heroes?

Religion aside:
For any group to show hatred toward a fallen member of my country's armed forces, especially over such a small issue, elicits a rage in me that is unfathomable to most psyches and is indescribable to all poets and is only matched by my sorrow for the fact that it has occurred.

no they are a shame to the name baptist, although read this quote.

Not me.
Throughout time...multitudes of "believers" of all faiths, groups and movements have convinced themselves that they are right, all others are wrong and that they have the moral ground to condemn or punish all those they perceive to be ill-informed (in this case the "hell-bound" gays ).
I believe everyone is entitled to their beliefs and their opinions. I also believe we should use such rights and freedoms responsibly.

but he is in err because the bible says: how do you know you have passed from death unto life, by your love for the brethren.
