Or, if you were raised not knowing anything about God or Jesus or religion, and then heard someone speaking (and actually believing what they were saying,) of God, wouldn't you think they were absolutely crazy?

I was brainwashed with that xtian nonsense. It was not untill after i actually decided "OK" i am going to read and study the bible did i become an atheist...

The self proclaimed holy book called the bible is so absurd it is laughable... in years to come, the bible will probably be moved from the fiction section to the comedy section....

"Virgin Birth", "Son of God", "Talking Snakes", "Resurection" this book and its followers are a joke and a laughing stock.

Being raised Christian is not being brainwashed. It is reasonabl religious education and teaching morality. What is brainwashing is if the religious education instructs them about another religion in an untruthful manner and prohibits them from seeking knowledge from other sources.

I am an athiest. I think I am going to start calling myself the athiest referee though. I want to help some in understanding between beliefs. I don't like seeing the attacks between them.

I was neither brainwashed, or raised a Christian. So I can say that yes I would. If you were not brainwashed, I mean raised an atheist would you still not believe?

I AM BRAINWASHED, and PROUD of it. In fact, you should have seen how FILTHY my mind was before becoming a Christian. But through the cleansing blood of Jesus it has been washed of all that garbage that was in it. Now my speech is naturally cleaner, my thoughts are purer, my whole life has a cleaness and a crispness that was never there before.

P.S. I don't believe because my mind was cleansed, but rather, my mind was cleansed by the power of Jesus after I believed.

The person most responsible for my conversion to Christianity is Charles Darwin.

The second and third are the Buddha and Muhammad, for the record.

Mostly those who are raised christians become atheist. Actual problem is not in believing God but christianity itself. Christians not only teaches in belief in God, but also teaches illogical and inconsistence beliefs, that's why whoever logically think about their beliefs, they either convert to other religion or become atheist. Mostly You won't find people from other religion becoming atheist. In short belief in God is not the problen but believing in Christian way is the problem.

I was brainwashed into the sinful, materialistic, sex-obsessed, image crazed culture... I didn't become a Christian until I was 19. It took alot of time to "unlearn" everything I learned as a drone... lol You'd be surprised how much cultural values are drummed into your brain when you take a step back and look at your life and society from an eternal perspective.

I wish I never stepped foot into that pantycostal church back in '77!!!!

I'd have saved a lot of money from therapy AND from 'donating' to their build-a-bigger-church fund.
