Because a lot of people have experienced or gone through some of the questions being asked especially in the relationships department so they know what its like and what advice to give. Not to mention gives the person who's asking the question different views, maybe someone else realizes something they don't.

because they r either helpful hav nothin 2 do or just hav fun answering da questions or trat yahoo answers like some kind of game 2 gain lots of points .

yes, they can be very helpful to people. that's like saying 'should we be kind?' - your choice, but you'll be a much beter person in yourself, if you do little kind and helpful things like this.
