For those outside of christianity I'm sure that this is true. There are only 2 sacraments listed in the bible, those being baptism and communion. Other than these, the only things necessary for christians are prayer, study of the word, and obedience to God.

Almost the reverse, but the point you make about many of Jesus' sayings being "antireligious" are perfectly correct.
But I think you are wrong, from a somewhat different perspective, about the "burden" of religious rituals.
For many people that is exactly what Christianity is, to them, and that is what they find satisfying. Ritual and ceremony.
This is built into most, if not all, humans.
(I tend to be a loner and often observe this, horrified, from the outside)
It's there when archaic language is preferred because it "sounds better" even when it is less comprehensible
(The Latin Mass, or the 1611 bible).
When tradition is seen to have a majority vote merely because of its longevity.
Wherever dress and behaviour (and this runs widely beyond religious ritual) reinforce group identity and belonging.
Wherever the rituals become self-servng and preserving, yes, there is a problem, And Christianity is no longer a revolutionary movement where no-one had any possessions
(Acts 4:32)
But rituals are natural to humanity, so not all of Christianity's "bad rap", if it has one, can be laid at that door.
Rituals are almost inevitable. For good and ill (Even the revolutionary concept "We will have no rituals!" can get ritualised, in time, to a pedantic iconoclasm. )

That is because the Catholic Popes have mixed Paganism with Christianity. They took the queen of heaven idol that God spoke against in Jeremiah 7:18 and turned her into mother Mary and still provoke God to anger by worshiping her.
There are many other false teachers as well, like Kenneth Copeland teaching free masonry beliefs to be Christian and Benny Henn, over half of the ones you see on TBN are false teachers, maybe even more.

Rituals are important to humans. They are a way of expressing and communicating the kinds of human experience that are hard to put into words.
The problem comes when they are used to cement the power of ingroups and exclude everyone else.
I think this is what Jesus was on about.
- Atheist.

i'm confident you have examine the sheep and the goats and understand that there will be those that may not receive everlasting existence by way of fact of their deeds or lack thereof. he won't resent something he will choose while he returns. those that fairly love him and obeyed him will enter heaven those that go away would be dealt with and theory-approximately not greater. I understand your issues and at the same time as some are juvenile you're able to make certain to be a easy or cover. We weren't called to cover. you're able to come across a physique of believers, or commence one which makes a speciality of God and help others to make certain the comparable. lots of the folk you talk approximately are in comparison to weeds in the Bible and we are instant to go away them on my own until eventually the harvest the place God will preserve them. in case you like Jesus and stick to him you're Christ like and subsequently Christian. there is in basic terms one course labels do no longer substitute the reality.
