Do you tell porky pie's(lies) If so why and how often?

Porky pies for lies is Cockney rhyming slang( a Cockney in English tradition is a person born in London within the sound of the bells of the church at Bow(Bowbells)) they use other phrases apple and pairs-stairs dont ask me why

All the time, ITD. Where have you been lately? None of my business I know.
Everyday my regular customers (No! not what you think, I work in a filling station) ask me how I am and I say I,m fine. Usually I have back ache, a headache, an earache, a leg ache, a heart ache or a hangover (only Joking!)

Never, ever, whoops, just got a pimple on my tongue. my father always said, never tell a lie unless the truth will do. it was well known that his brother was so good at telling porkies that he could tell a lie and prove it was the truth.

by the way when using the slang never say the last word ie its porkies not porky pies or the apple not the apple and pears.

I detest lies and try to be honest as much as possible. I work with the public though and sometimes a little sugar coating on things makes life easier.

Try not to, as once you start it's difficult to stop. I might tell little white ones, like telling someone they look nice, even if they don't, why upset them!!
