would you be offended?

If you would be offended, do you think Jesus would like to see statues of his dead body nailed to a couple of wooden planks displayed prominently in your home or place of worship? Wouldn't a statue of him teaching others be a more appropriate way to honor him?

If you think that the crucifix is a great way to honor him, would you honor your parents in the same way, or would you find that horribly in bad taste, and take offense to anyone that honored your parents in such a way?

OK so here's my story: So I was born and I was baptized as a Catholic. I have been a Catholic for years and I did my first communion about 4 years ago. I was going to these classes to get ready for it and I didn't really pay much attention cuz I wasn't really that interested. Now about 3 months ago I started going to a different church, only this was a Christian church! And I know people will say that they are both pretty much the same but I just wanna say that there are some differences! So yeah anyway, I'm still going to this church and unlike my old church back then I actually pay attention and I'm learning more! Now I've already given my life to my savior Jesus, and I guess the next step is baptism. But I wanna know if it's ok to get baptized even if I have done my 1st communion. Because isn't 1st com. the iniation for Catholics? Anyway I wanna know if it's ok because Christians believe it's their choice to get baptized and not your parents. So can anyone help me out please????????

Okay, to fully describe what i believe I would have to type a whole novel so I will try to keep it simple. I believe in more than one god, but ot like the greeks...do you know what i mean? Or maybe i should say godesses...i don't really know its part of the reason I am looking for a religion...so it can help me figure this all out. I was raised (im 14) to be a Unitarian Universilist so I belive in Jeasus...i just don't think he was the son of god. I belive in magic...i guess...and evalution.

Sorry if i misspelt (haha) anything....help me please!

Where are the Muslims? Where are the Hindus, Buddhists and Scientologists? I think "spirituality" exists in many places not represented by R&S, and by definition, so does the rest of the planet.

Unfortunately, and at the urging of my sense of free expression, perhaps a name change is in order ... something like "The Christians vs The Atheists room?

What do you think a more appropriate name might be?

I have noticed that men and women who belive in science (as in everything has a sceintic raeson for it) refuse to think of anyother thing but sceince. I mean they stick to it religously like it's the only answer. Don't get me worng people who belive in the occult as strongly as those who belive in scinece do just as stupid things. I myself belive in both and so i'll look at both sides of the storie and come to a diffrent conclusion. Most of the time it ivlovs both science and the ocult. Why can't other peiople do that.Religon isn't the occult but there the same type of people and they bleive that God made humans and everything in the unviverse. the Scentist people believe that we were form though big bang and a pool of ooze. i belive in a combination of the two. So why can't anyone else? i tend to think left brained people are sceintis and right brained people are teh occultist. it might not be true but that's what I think.I also would be insulted if you called me a left Brained person

Passwords! How on earth can you keep up with all of these passwords?
Hopefully they post a question, say your pets name. Other than that, I have no clue as to how to keep up with all of these passwords.

What does it mean when a Christian church cancels Wednesday night services just because of "conflicting activities" halloween brings? Is it ok to cancel Christian services for hallowing? As long as you are out getting candy? or whatever people do on Halloween...

I am JUST curious is all. I see no problem in it. Just wanted to know what others thought.

It seems throughout history and today whenever there is a problem in the world it always seems to be because of the Jews.

There is a straight guy at my history class who winked at me and smiled at me couple of times with a flirty look in his eyes. Anyway, when I tried to talk to him one day he seems to want to push me away. That kinda hurts, because I thought we'd be able to be friends with benefits or something.

Christians - When you say that we can neither prove nor disprove God, what constitutes proof?

Atheists - When you say that there isnt any evidence of a God - what constitues evidence?

Christians - Are you merely asserting that the God hypothesis cannot be falsified? If so this is a rather unsprising point because the statement "All men are mortal" cannot be falsified either.

Atheists - Are you merely asserting that the God hypothesis cannot be disproven/proven by means of empirical evidence? If so are we to assume that if God existed then there would be empircal evidence of his existence, and since there is none he does not exist?

Not trying to put words in your mouths but these are very {general statements I.e. (No evidence of God, God cannot be proven/disprove)} And I was wondering if anyone could elaborate.

If you haven't already seen the Kirk Cameron Banana video, please watch it here.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=2z-OLG0KyR4
It's only one minute, 5 seconds long.

My first thought after watching this is...

What about the coconut?!

Utilizing this "banana logic," explain the existance of the coconut, the pineapple, basically any other food that isn't nearly as "perfect" as the banana (according to this video).

For the debunking rebuttle to this video, check here:

Thanks, Everyone. Peace and Happy Halloween. =)

i was at the mall yesterday at the electronics section and all of the sudden out of nowhere this black chubby guy coems and asks my name in a low voice as if he was nervous. i told him my "fake" name and he repeated my name twice as if he was shocked or something. so anyway he was askig if i was shopping for kids and i was like "no" and soemthing told me he was just trying to get my number so as he was asking me another question which i didnt really hear, i cut him off and went to the counter to pay for the video game. and its like he just totally vanished!! it was as if he was never there.

i do believe God does test us and that Angels are everywhere but, an angel wouldnt just come up to you and start asking for your name would he?

For example I heard news that a fundamentalist group (claiming to be a Christian church) staged a protest on a marines funeral. I believe the marine may have been gay. The fundamentalist group was protesting with signs speaking out agains homosexuals at the mans funeral. That is tacky, uncalled for and MOST DIFFENATELY not the acts of Christians. I really and truely hope you do not think REAL CHRISTIANS act this way. Trust me we don't.
