It is pretty sad that a church would cancel religious services because it conflicted with trick or treating.
Are these the same churches that cancelled Sunday services because Christmas occurred on a Sunday?
Last year, Christmas fell on a Monday and Catholics went to Mass on Sunday and Monday.
In fact, every Catholic Church has a Mass every day of the year.

That would be a great question to ask your pastor. From my standpoint, canceling Wednesday services because of Halloween is ridiculous. Not everyone celebrates Halloween. In fact, some would rather be in church.

I don't know. Some may do that because Halloween is on the same night.
My church cancelled Wednesday night Bible study because they were having a pirate-themed carnival for kids.

I think that is really wrong because most Christian churches don't believe in celebrating Holloween. Its funny because if a stranger were to come up and give a kid a candy on Aug. 8 ("want a candy little girl?") parents would be up in arms calling that person a pedifile but on halloween we go along with them to collect candies from strangers!

Well our church has a "Hallelujah Hoedown" where parents dressed in Biblical costumes hand candy out of their trunks (parked all around the huge parking lot). There are also concessions, fun game booths, moonwalk, etc. The emphasis is not on any sort of dressing like a monster, but on Biblical things.

We Christians need to be in church tonight interceding for those that are going to be involved in satanism and possiblly loose their life. I have a problem with Christians celebrating this day. What are we teaching our children? Candy and dressing like demons is more important than worshiping Jesus? Does satan have the church decieved or what? Okay, I am on my soapbox. God Bless You.

They would of done this due to being bombarded by half brained people, thinking it would be fun to interrupt the service by asking for sweets.

It means there's something wrong with the people who attend...they'd rather be out celebrating the devil's holiday than studying God's Word with others.
