I have noticed that men and women who belive in science (as in everything has a sceintic raeson for it) refuse to think of anyother thing but sceince. I mean they stick to it religously like it's the only answer. Don't get me worng people who belive in the occult as strongly as those who belive in scinece do just as stupid things. I myself belive in both and so i'll look at both sides of the storie and come to a diffrent conclusion. Most of the time it ivlovs both science and the ocult. Why can't other peiople do that.Religon isn't the occult but there the same type of people and they bleive that God made humans and everything in the unviverse. the Scentist people believe that we were form though big bang and a pool of ooze. i belive in a combination of the two. So why can't anyone else? i tend to think left brained people are sceintis and right brained people are teh occultist. it might not be true but that's what I think.I also would be insulted if you called me a left Brained person

Once again I personaily to belive in both the occult and and science. BTW people how good your grammer is has nothing to do with how smart you are or how well you think. I have a friend who's grammer is perfect but she's really dumb when it comes to real life so whatever. How I type has nothing to do with how well I talk. I'm not going to waste 5 minutes of my time trying to make you guys comfortable becuase you wouldn't do the same for me. The mind is able to reconise a word if the first and last letter of that word is in the correct spot. So if you can't understand what i'm saying then there's something wrong with your brain. And I was asking about my grammer so answer the question right.

What I ment about the whole left Brain people being sceintist and right brain people being religous was becuase left brain people are logical and all that and right brain people are not. I'm just baseing this on myself and the whole brain thing. There is no proof and I'm proubly wrong but i was just useing that as an excuse. i did that wrong and i'm sorry.

Science is a religion too ya know. (watch me get hated on from every side for a radical statement like that lol). They have their creation though, their flood, their power source, their rules, their absurdities, their militants, their cool people....
Somehow, I think you and I are in the same boat on this issue. I thought I was the only one too... whoa. (and we meet on halloween no less- synchronicity much?)

popcycle sticks.... a young boy is collecting popcycle sticks to make a toy... A man owning a popcycle factory needs sticks for his product.... the boy doesn't want to make popcycles just want the sticks.... The man doesn't want to build toys just put them in the popcycles... neither is wrong ... because the man doing what he does affects only himself... it's his business, his lively hood... the boy using these popcycle sticks doesn't affect many,,, he affects himself... so the smaller the argument the less people it affects .. the less a difference of opinion matters..... that changes when there is a bigger picture involved... if there was a law that said.. all wood must first be made into popcycle sticks... then it begins to affect everything... that is when an opinion is measured right or wrong... depending on how much or how many it affects... Religion.... I have this philosophy, you have that philosophy, but then you begin to make just your philosophy LAW.... Eventually people question it... looking at catholic and chirstian religions ... they began by saying if you do not practice my philosophy you die... and the didn't mean it in the sense today... they meant they would murder you... Science is the begining of understanding what law of whole means... gravity is called a law.. it's not written in any books as LAW.. it's not a law that people can go around breaking, evolution is also a law just as gravity is a law... but even those who began talking gravity were persecuted by the christians... just like those who speak and study evolution are persecuted by christians... In older times these people were murdered for saying such things... Law... showing something greater than religion, greater than christianity... that is what science is meant to do... Who are these christians to persecute Newton for talking about gravity? No matter how much you complained it did not change the truth that gravity is indeed a law of nature .... and no matter how you persecute and manipulate your agenda or dogma it can not eliminate evolution as a Law of nature.... So when the discussion involves and affects many, then an opinion can be measure as right or wrong..... Scientist never said I study science and you can't beleive or practice your religion.... Scientist said "this is what I have observed on the earth" it is the Christians that say you can't say that... you can't teach that, you can be that.... So we have to look at the evidence and the only logical conclusion any sane person can come up with is THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH CHRISTIANITY, IF IT ATTEMPTS TO PUT IN PLACE LAWS THAT MAKE TRUTH ILLEGAL..... for science didn't start out to condemn anything,

there is a modern tendency to confuse the scientific method of studying the observable, repeatable and testable with naturalism. Naturalism sounds like a science but is a philosophy plus the scientific method.
It is subtle. But often a person buys into the assumptions of naturalism before looking at the data. They think they are "scientifically" making a conclusion but the conclusion is driven not necessarily by the data but by the assumptions they have before looking at the data
In reality the scientific method does not exclude a religious point of view and was developed by Christians such as Bacon

Some people (i.e. *me*) choose to live in an evidence-based world. Science is by definition based on evidence. Those who prefer a world that is more mysterious and not evidence-based believe in things that are be definition outside the realm of the independently observable. Theirs is a subjective, personal existence. It is also a world that relies on the interpretations of others, many of whom have an agenda. For example, if the evidence isn't at hand, how do you know something exists except by relying on the word of another?
I prefer to acknowledge a world that is what it is regardless of my take on it.
p.s. Scientific evidence doesn't quite support your left/right brain assertion.

I believe that everything has a scientific reason, yes--but I have a love of the bizarre. It's what attracts me to religion. Science allows us to experience what is beyond our senses without a leap of faith.
As far as your left brain/right brain theory, I don't know. I'm into logic, but I'm an artist as well. I love abstract thought in all it's forms.

How come people who believe in god refuse to learn their native language? I count no fewer than 25 egregious spelling errors in your post. Would you be insulted if I called you a no-brained person? You will never be taken seriously by anyone if you don't learn how to spell correctly. It's NOT that difficult.
As for your question, there are many scientists who believe in god, and many science-oriented people who believe also.

i can't speak for most, but I find it funny that some people who are into "alternative" stuff are into ALL the alternative stuff.
They do yoga, reiki, candle, tarot, etc...
So what;s the difference?
I personally favor science and logic therefore any metaphysical thing like ghosts, gods, souls, etc.. I reject b/c they are man-made,

Science is not about believing, it's about knowing. But anyways i don't think that religion and science are 100% compatible, they both contradict each other when it comes to "how" or "when" questions
I don't "believe" in science just because it's science, i believe in things whether if it'ss scientific or not as long as there is evidence.
"I'll believe anything, no matter how wild and ridiculous, if there is evidence for it. The wilder and more ridiculous something is, however, the firmer and more solid the evidence will have to be.'"-Isaac Asimov

People like to go with the sure thing - like science, which is definitely real, whereas the supernatural is not necessarily.

Very speculative. Many scientists are believers in religions.
Atheists do not believe in science. We accept it as a method at arriving at factual truths.
