Passwords! How on earth can you keep up with all of these passwords?
Hopefully they post a question, say your pets name. Other than that, I have no clue as to how to keep up with all of these passwords.

Grace, that's great, but what happens when the power goes out?

HAHA, I had to laugh at myself on that one. What happens if the power goes out? Then I guess I won't be needing a password!!!!

I am with you on this one...I can't keep track of them either..it is hit or miss, usually miss, then I have to write an email, get one back, etc....what a pain in the neck. I used to keep a list taped to my keyboard drawer, but it is so out of date that it is useless. I suppose I better go back to that system sooner than later. Phil

I always made a note of new passwords (which were usually numbers). I always carried a day planner in my purse, which had a phone listing as part of the planner. I would make up a name that I would remember meant the bank for instance = Mila Banks, and then write down a phone number of which the last four digits are actually my new pass code.

You can do the same thing for anything.

They're maddening aren't they? I actually have a program that keeps them for me! Not sure what I would do without it!

If the power is out I don't need my passwords, unless I'm misunderstanding you?! With no electricity I don't need passwords!

Oh! By the way, my daughter has a very small address book she keeps in her wallet and all of her passwords and sites are in alpha order, she can flip to them quite quickly. I'm not crazy about carrying a printed list. If she loses that book or her wallet she will definitely be doomed!

I have 57 pw's just for work! eek!

I pull my hair out on a daily basis because of passwords. I have a notebook full of them and can never find the one I need fast enough to suit me. So I end up changing it and then I forget to write it down and then I start all over. I try to use an easy one but then they want a number in it to make it stronger and I am bad with remembering numbers. grrrr

That's so true, everything has to have a password and often and id name with it. I write all my down in a notebook and again in a file. It's the only way I can keep up with them, since sometimes I just draw a blank or get them mixed up. lol

i keep different passwords for different things and its like 20 i keep track off. all individual and unique. all at least 12 characters or more. like for bank it could be 8@nk------- or email could be em@1Landayear. replace o's with 0's. a with @ things like that. i could use password and yet make it p@sSw0rd its still reads password but still meets security requirements. and all you have to remember is 2nd s is upper. a is @ and o is 0

use the same password for everything. make it have a few numbers in it and make it eight characters, so as to satisfy all requirements for all accounts. it's made life easier. i wouldn't carry passwords around or write out them for anyone to see, as that sort of defeats the purpose (security) of having one.

That's right. At my last workcite we had to change the password every three months for security. I would just get it in my head and it changed, so I started a cheat sheet I kept in my locker that I could refer to if my brain lost it.

For sanitation purposes, public toilets are being installed that are password protected (so don't forget to carry a list)
