As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu.

We should not be trying to make excuses to do something it is already obvious that we can't do it and expect Allah to accept it. Celebrating Halloween is haram. Just the nature of it tells anyone who can think beyond their own desires and is older than 6 should see this.

Eating candy is okay. There is no "celebrating" in going to the store and buying the candy that is there.

412Envy, if someone is born and raised speaking English or any language other than Fushah Arabiya, why would you consider this imitating? I was born in Brooklyn, and my mother tongue is English and was raised by Christian parents. I took shahada and accepted Al Deen Ul Haq.

Are you saying that I and countless others are imitating? Pakistanis speak Urdu, Chinese speak Cantonese and Mandarin. Afghanis speak Afghan, are you saying these people are imitating? Should we not have central heating and air conditioning because non-muslims have it? What ayat of Qur'an or hadith did you get this from? Is there concensus from the Sahabi that driving a car is haram?

No offense, but did you "Think" about what you wrote before you wrote it?

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.

Insha'Allah, no, it is not correct to celebrate Halloween as it is both a pagan celebration honoring false gods and an errant faith system that does not recognize the One True God, Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala and, it is an adopted Christian celebration in which, due to its Christian nature is implying the salvific works and abilities of one who is promoted as an equal to Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala (i.e., promoting the prophet Essa (sallahu 'alaihi wasallaam) as the an equal of Allah (swt)).

Despite the fact that virtually all Christian festivals, holy days and celebrations have become commercialized and have lost most if not all of their former religious meanings and significance, it is still not a good idea for a Muslim to celebrate them.

Ma'a salaam.

technically it's not ok to do halloween because it is pagan in origin... and halloween itself doesn't celebrate fall... it's the celebration of the devil technically... if you want to celebrate the fall you could go out to some fall festivals that may be around... some friends and i did that before... there you're not celebrating the halloween holiday... but you can still enjoy the season and the fall harvest with apple cider, and pumpkins, and hay and such...

Dear,

"NO". NOT AL ALL.

Anything "TO BE WITH SETAN" is prohibited in Islam.

SETAN disobey ALLAH and mislead our forefather ADAM and foe mother EVE in Heaven, which caused them to descend towards earth our world. Setan Devil is "granted" until the end of this world to "MISLEAD" the people which is a tool or means to test the Slaves of God ALLAH.

Please keep away from celebrating Halloween.
I was in Toronto, Canada. I know what's Halloween is about!.

To user 412envy:

There are two 'inventions' or what is called *Bidaah.

*the innovations which arise after the death of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W which are against the Al-Quran and Hadis.

The two are:-

(a) Bidaah Hasanah
- Bidaah which benefits in a good way
i.e: Invention of the aeroplane.

(b) Bidaah Dalalah
- Bidaah against the Al-Quran and Hadis
i.e: Building casinos, clubs.

I hope this is right because it's a direct translation of my native language. And I learned this in school. Highschool in particular.

i used to when i was a kid. I stopped now. Not because I believe it is forbidden, but because i think it is retarded. It is promoting idiocracy in my opinion lol. Some of my muslim friends still go, while others say it is forbidden. Personally, i believe it is your intention that matters, but anyways. Why celebrate Holloween when non-muslims dont celebrate Eid?

Yeah apparently we're not allowed to do Halloween because it imitates non Muslims. I JUST found out like a week ago and it's hard, but I just think of how short-lived my satisfaction would be for a night of candy but how much more rewarding it is to listen to what Allah wants us to do

In my complex of apartments we were told to keep our porch light off. I still got a couple of knocks...but like a coward I hid in my bathroom. I am a Muslim but I was going to give the candy anyway..but I forgot to buy it. Maybe that was a good thing after reading the posts that it is based on A shaytanic
source. I did not know that. Glad to know that. Thank -You.
Ma Salaam

From my understanding Halloween comes from Celtics and it was used to give some type of respect to one of the gods. It represent Polytheism and therefore Muslims should refrain from it.
