Very shortly I will go visit my granddaughter and bring her the shirt that I made for my son when he was her age, for her dress-up box, a shirt he wore as Frodo because he was the ringbearer at friend's Halloween/Samhain wedding 18 years ago. Then she and I will go to Henry Cowell Sate Park and trick-or-Treat in the woods, where the rangers, dressed as animals, will speak as/for the animals as well as giving out candy.

Then I'll go home, give out treats to anyone who braves coming around to my house (It is impossible to light well, semi-rural area).

Later in the evening, our Samhain ritual will take place. We will mourn our beloved dead, lighting candles for each one, light a fire in the fireplace, then read tarot for the coming year, then open the circle as we have no new births in the family this year to celebrate. We will likely get to sleep about 1:30 or 2 in the morning.

Blessed be.
