There is a straight guy at my history class who winked at me and smiled at me couple of times with a flirty look in his eyes. Anyway, when I tried to talk to him one day he seems to want to push me away. That kinda hurts, because I thought we'd be able to be friends with benefits or something.

Try to make it obvious that you're interested and see where that leads.

He probably winked because he knew you'd like it. Doesn't mean that he was interested. If you have the same friends it will be easier to hang out and maybe it might lead into something more later on. I have a couple straight guy friends that joke around with me but we are just friends.

Yes, i have done. We went with a gay mate to his nightclub as he had nobody else to go with. I got a fair bit of attention & flirted with about 30 guys that night ranging from just a quick wink & grin to dancing close up to taking my shirt off.
To me it wasnt about teasing (I was pleased that so many people found me attractive) more so I am comfortable with myself & they seemed to enjoy it. Dont know what they all thought about it though when nothing panned out.

There is a movie about that called "The Disco Years".
It is about a guy who is seduced by a gorgeous sports jock from his high school at his parent's house for a weekend when the jock's parents are gone, and then riduculed later as a queer by him and his clueless girl friend. Quite an eye opener.
Later it has a pretty happy ending...

That's usually just a normal behavior in some straight goofy type of guys. They actually love to messing around with you, and with other guy. That happen on me a lot, because a lot of guys at my school like to horseplay like flirting, i know all of em just playing around, and each time they did that, i just reply with a nice gently smile to them, my smile also said that they cute and funny.

I have friends who flirt outrageously with gay guys. They are not mocking, just being themselves. They are confident of their own sexuality and not bothered by anyone else's. They never let it go too far and don't hurt anyone. If someone is flirting with you, it might mean they are gay and attracted to you but it might not. At least they are interested enough in you to flirt with you. If they are not gay, they could become good friends.

Never trust a seemingly straight guy who winks at you and smiles.

Straight guys do flirt, but not to go anywhere. It's just a thing that they do to mess with us if they suspect us of being gay.

The straight guys I know are all a bunch of slutty teases. I swear they're gayer than I am.
