Aren't we supposed to still be worshipping God on a Saturday which is the Sabbath instead as we are still supposed to keep the 10 commandments no? Or did something change when Jesus came?

1) EVERY religion states that its respective god says "You will not take other gods before me."
2) EVERY religion says that THEIRS is the right one, and all others are false.
3) EVERY religion says that THEIRS is the only was to salvation.
4) EVERY religion promises some sort of damnation for not believing.

By 'every' I mean all 5000 identified (so far) religions/gods in human history. If they ALL say the same thing, and your odds of believing in the RIGHT god is .0002, tehn how do you justify saying "MINE is right and I don't care what YOU say, I believe and that's it!"
If you were born Muslim, you be Muslim. If you were born as a Cherokee Indian, you would believe in Ghigua. If you were born Greek, you'd believe in Apollo the god of the sun. If you were born Maya, you would believe in sacrificing someone every day in order for the sun to rise.
So aren't you REALLY religious and believe in the god you do because that's what you were TOLD to believe as a child?

I ask you because the vast majority of Atheists have no belief in an after life. Given such a perspective, it seems that our life is the longest experience we can have. Is the idea that life is short a product of the attempt to see things from the perspective of eternity?

Was it becasue something was missing in other beliefs (ie: an atheist who doesn't believe in any god because of lack of evidence)

or your feeling of assurance in your belief (ie: a theist who is 100% sure of a god because of eperiences in their life)

or a different reason?

Please state you belief with you answer

Thanks to all :)

Why should I worship ANY Diety who isn't far superior in
(1) Mercy than I am?

If I REALLY stretch myself spiritually, I can and have found it in my heart to actually forgive someone as HORRID as Hitler.

If I, a mere mortal, is capable of such a thing and other humans have forgiven their rapists, people who killed their children in drunk driving accidents etc.

How can I serve ANY God who allows human beings to experience meaningless torment FORVER with no hope of resolution, learning, growth, forgiveness etc?

Why should I worship ANY Diety who isn't far superior in
(2) Justice/Ethics than I am?

If my daughter disobeyed me. I would not punish HER children for it. Neither would any court of law that abided by the HIGHEST ethical standards send a person to jail because their father was a murderer.

How can I worship a God with less just principles than my basic human ones?

Shouldn't an almighty Diety surpass every human limit of excellence?

For example: For the longest time, growing up, I thought that the Jehova Whitnessess that would come to the house, nocking on the door, were going to kill us. My mother made suck a big up roar when they would come. We had to stop in our tracks, fall down to the floor, or hide somewhere, staying completely quit the whole time. My stomach would be filled with butterflies from my nerves. She would scare the crap out of my brother and me.
When I moved into my first apartment, why did I find myself doing the same thing? I would be scared and acting all stupid, and hinding. It's amazing what your parents can pass on to you. Of course now I know better... :0)
