you can't have it both ways. either you emulate him, or you don't. i see Christians trying...for instance....taking the sabbath as a day of rest (like god did when he created the world in 7 days).

if thats true...why are Christians against abortion? how many babies did God abort when he flooded Noah's world? You can't pick and chose which of God's personalities to emulate can you?

I may not believe as you do, that there is no God but sam had some valuable points he made in this book. He is an atheist and perhaps again I might offend someone but it makes me go back and do some home work. I have learned I need to make sure I come correct when teaching certain things about God and christianity. My grammer, well I will work on it to. P.s. The last time I went rick or treating I was 14. I am now 16 and I have a three year old brother that wants to go trick or treating. When I take him, do I go to the door with him and get candy?Or do I stand in the backround? What do yall think?

The oldest age that I went trick-or-treating was when I was fourteen years old. Do you think that people should stop trick-or-treating at a certain age? Or do you think that it's ok for anyone of any age to go trick-or-treating? I myself don't care how old a trick-or-treater is.

Has anyone else seen AOL's capton .."Blacks terriified of Halloween", it is disturbingly racsist to me. I think alot of others are also terrified of Halloween also. Why? Sexual predators, unknown persons walking around in disguises, opening your door to anyone, tricks, pranks, possibly getting hit by cars, rapes, mentally ill persons, thieves frankley it is easer for crimes to be committed anywhere and I think everyone should fear Halloween not just blacks. I work in an ER and every year we get kids, college kids and towns people who experience assaults, accdents, rapes, broken bones, and even death every year for Halloween related activites, so everyone should be scared! Shame on AOL...is anyone w/ me on this subject?

Do you think naming your kid something stereotypical will hurt, benefit or have not be an issue as they get older?
(Shaquan or Tyrone for black people, Becky or Billy Ray for whites, Carlos for Hispanics etc.. you get the picture.)
And its just a question, I am not even saying what my opinion is . So please curb your "you are ignorant" responses.

for the past several years I have watched Christians get very upset that some businesses display "Happy Holiday" signs and have their employees use that as a greeting to customers, rather than Merry Christmas.

Personally, I don't think "Merry" is a greeting that implies any faith or religious respect to Christmas, it is a secular greeting. Why not "holy" or "Blessed" Christmas instead? Merry Christmas sounds very santa and reindeers to me, it does not bring the image of the nativity to mind.

Do Christians feel that "Merry Christmas" sufficiently honors the significance of the holiday?
