lol Yes, I have. I have since learned to embrace my dark side. Your dark side is not bad. It is what keeps you alive. It is your survival. It is the part of you that handles the ugly things in life. Rather than battle it, truly accept it and love it. Only then do we become a whole person. And, our will becomes one with a now single purpose.

C'mon now, all of us are continually waging a battle of our dark demons within. Some are just more difficult to suppress.

You'd better believe it. Many years ago I was VERY close to being a raging alcoholic. That is a really crappy deamon to have, trust me.
But I picked myself up before it was too late, met a wonderful woman (who is now my wife) and have been clean for over 5 years.
And, by the way, I beat this deamon without a god or religion.

Yes, until I realized that self-righteousness only leads to self-loathing when the inevitable "dark" stuff comes out. These days I'm generally inviting the darkness within me to the kitchen for some coffee.

I'm losing the battle less these days. But when I get strong in one area, it pops it's ugly head up in another. I have to be alert and pray without ceasing.

Human nature is neither dark or light. Society teaches people to believe that duality exist in their life, but often, it is just primal instinct and not a real "dark" side.

Why battle it? Why not just let it flow? The neglected child becomes a huge problem when it's constantly hated on.

You mean 'within'? You're assuming that there IS 'darkness' within myself. That's not necessarily the case.
