My grandparents are old school Catholics.

Tonight, my mom turned on Joel Osteen for the family to watch while they were over too.

As you can guess, my grandparents were very skeptical.

I think it's SO CLOSED MINDED of some Catholics to look down upon people like myself who like Joel, Billy G., or Charles Stanely.

I love listening to Joel the most.

I have his daily inspirations sent to my email everyday.

I've read his book "Your Best Life now" and am reading his new book.

Bottom Line: there's NOTHING WRONG WITH JOEL or being theology light and giving hope to people like myself.

After all, Jesus' message was pretty basic and full of hope.

May God Bless you all.

And Remember, YOU ARE A VICTOR AND NOT A VICTIM!

Just listen to all their songs...they tear your heart out. Just watch the dances...they are so sexy.....the tangos, salsas, etc. their hands are all over the place.. the figure hugging dresses, the skirts that show their thighs.....their looks are fiery, hot and smouldering!!!!! No one can compare with them and everyone around the world imitates them!!!

Is it because you want to be different that you're gay? IS THERE a single one of you who are Christians? Because if you were you don't act like it. You have to understand you are sick. Do you see two male dogs having attractions to each other? Why do you think it was Adam and Eve? Not Adam and Steve?

I was born on December 25.

Is any other person born on Christmas or another holiday?

P.s. I have a friend born on New Years, and another had her birthday on Thanksgiving last year.

I was baptised Episcopalian but never confirmed. My husband was baptised and confirmed Catholic. We were married in a civil ceremony on January 1st of this year. Now I am seeking to covert to Catholicism so we may have a renewal of vows in his church in Wisconsin and raise our children Catholic. What would be the best way of going about this? I have always accepted Jesus Christ into my life and read the Holy Bible, so it is not completly foregion to me. Though I have done some research on the subject I have yet to find and definate steps and/or "how to" instructions. Thank you in advance for your answer!

My bf and me have been engaged for over a year now.

He is not Catholic and actually is not really any religion. He grew up going to Baptist church though.

I am a traditional Roman Catholic. The preist at my church has already said they do mixed marriages but he will need to think about actually doing it and whether or not he wants to because it is on his soul. I understand this because if the marriage does not work he is responsible for the union of two people and one who is not Catholic. I don't want him to do something he doesn't want to do. I love my bg, we have 11m old daughter together and we have been together for almost 4 years.

My bf has already said he does not want to become a Catholic but maybe one day when he understands it better it could happen. I respect this because it can be very confusing for someone who does not understand the sacraments.

I have contacted two of the Novus order churches in the area to marry us. What are the marriage prep classes like, how long?

I've been thinking about this.

I've been reasoning that since Sunday is supposed to be set aside for the Lord and for rest, it is even worse to commit a mortal sin on Sunday.

(Now I feel even more guilty)

You have to understand something, this is where my Obsessive Compulsive disorder mentality comes in. (Yes, I have it and it stinks. It has really knocked me off course in life. I haven't even told any adults about it either. I'm a teen.)

Since I have ocd, I have an urge or compulsion to commit that sin again on a day that's not Sunday.

However, I don't think God would agree with a person (such as myself) having to commit a mortal sin again on a non Sunday to make up for the time I've commited a mortal sin on Sunday.

Please, no insults about my disease. That's the last thing I need.

I cannot understand the argument of how being gay or not is a choice. It is scientifically shown that animals have sometimes been gay and they do not have the option of freewill the way we do.

Can anyone give me a logical explanation as to how it is possible for it to be someone's choice? Please no Bible babble, because I don't believe in a book.

For those who do not believe in Christian doctrine, do you fear that you may be wrong, and that there is a hell for nonbelievers? Why or why not? And, what do you think happens after death, and what accounts for your belief? Do you fear it? (serious answers only please.)

In the New Testament, these words are ascribed to Jesus: "Judge not lest you be judged, for the judgment you give you shall receive." In other words, if you damn people to hell, you're really damning yourself--if Christianity is true.

Also, the Turn 'n' Burn argument actually drives non-believers away. Why would any sane 'heathen' want to believe in some damnation-happy Guy in the Sky?

Finally, it's just offensive. You might not believe in Harvey the Invisible Rabbit yourself, but if I keep harping constantly about how Harvey is going to smite you with the Carrot or Wrath (TM), it's probably going to annoy you anyways.

So, why are some True Believers so damnation-happy and quick to send others to hell? Do they have a lot of hostility towards the rest of the human race?

I can't figure out, for the life of me, how this account hasn't been zapped yet; I'm quite overdue for it. In the last week and a half or so, many of our best atheist regulars have had their accounts deleted - regulars who actually added intelligent content, unlike me. I was overdue for it even before the Yamster's latest rampage. So how is this account still open, in your opinion? I mean, how does the Yamster work?

My boyfriend has really been having some money and job problems. Is there a spell that could help me help him? I'm Wiccan. If you're not then please at least respect my religion and not give me comments saying spells are stupid or I'm delusional. Thank you. With that said... please does anyone have any advice? I'm young and still learning but I'm so very dedicated especially to my boyfriend. He's almost about to get kicked out by him room mates if he doesn't pay rent and it's all because his boss fired him because one of the people he was waiting on left without paying the check. So to make a looong story short... I'll put as much belief and dedication into this spell that's possible and so will he. I've looked through my books but I don't have over half the supplies they tell me to have. So is there anything simple yet powerful? Pleeease and thankyou.

A friend of mine has had an incredibly rough life. He's been through more than anyone I know.

Once, we discussed belief in God. He said that he first began to lose his faith when he lost his father to suicide.

On the other hand, I have another friend that experienced the loss of his own father to suicide, and contrarily, he was brought closer to God.

Why is it that the same event could cause two oppositte reactions?
