My bf and me have been engaged for over a year now.

He is not Catholic and actually is not really any religion. He grew up going to Baptist church though.

I am a traditional Roman Catholic. The preist at my church has already said they do mixed marriages but he will need to think about actually doing it and whether or not he wants to because it is on his soul. I understand this because if the marriage does not work he is responsible for the union of two people and one who is not Catholic. I don't want him to do something he doesn't want to do. I love my bg, we have 11m old daughter together and we have been together for almost 4 years.

My bf has already said he does not want to become a Catholic but maybe one day when he understands it better it could happen. I respect this because it can be very confusing for someone who does not understand the sacraments.

I have contacted two of the Novus order churches in the area to marry us. What are the marriage prep classes like, how long?

James O has it just about right.

It's very important for Catholics to do these things properly, though, so don't try to skip anything.

You meet once every 3-4 weeks with the priest. In addition, you will attend a pre-Cana day ( usually a Saturday or Sunday) with other engaged couples.

It's no big deal, idiots get married all the time.

The fact that you have a child is the big concern for the priest. You have already shown neither of you have any respect for the Sacrament of Matrimony. ...or you wouldn't be playing house. Not only are you engaging in fornication, you have brought a child into it, to boot.

Having a child introduces the possibility that you are marrying because you 'should' or that your parents are talking you into it- both of which could be grounds for an anulment of you were to divorce....and you are more likely to divorce since you have been shacking up.

I don;t mean to be harsh- it's just the facts of life.

Make an appointment with the priest
You will need a dispensation for mixed religion
Most parishes send couples to pre marriage preparation classes which are a few nights and discusses issues of financial, personal and other conflicts what a catholic marriage is, how to make a marriage work and things like that.

I'm not sure how to answer this question except maybe keep contacting the Novus Order churches, or perhaps speak to your parish priest about it. I come from a Catholic family (I'm non-religious now) and one of my sisters married a Lutheran. Eventually she converted to Lutheranism. But they got married in a Catholic church, and as far as I can remember there were no problems for them getting married.

Catholics are not saved and are not Christians. Catholics believe a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell.

Bible teachers that said that the Vatican and the catholic cult are an antichrist:

John Bunyan, John Huss, John Wycliffe, John Calvin, William Tyndale, John Knox, Thomas Bacon, John Wesley, Charles Spurgeon, Samuel Cooper, John Cotton, and Jonathan Edwards
