It's always been my understanding that Jews have always been Jews since the time of Abraham and even before. I was talking to a muslim recently and he claimed that Abraham and his kin where muslim, definetly not Jews. Also that Jesus was a muslim, as well as Moses and others I thought to be Jews.

I thought Islam didn't exist till Muhammad created it, much like Christianity. So what where the Muslim people were before Muhammad? Also, what where the Arab people before Islam?

I just a saw a video of her getting in a circle with a couple of her friends and praising the lord. She wen't on how grateful she is for her gift(referring to her voice). Funny enough, she decided to ruin the voice she said she was so grateful for. Christians believe their body is the temple of God, yet she uses crack? Ofcourse Bobby had a bad influence on her, but she really brought it on herself.

Everyone believes what they think to be right, and that to be righteous. Assuming a god exists, and he laid out all of his teachings before me, I would still decide for myself what is right and what is wrong. And assuming a god just came into existence along with everything else at the begining of time, what did he/she do in order to achieve judgement over others?

Furthermore, it would be okay if we chose that we wanted to exist, but instead we are thrust into a set of rules we did not initially agree to anyways.

The Heart is a Lonely Hunter is a novel by Cason McCullers (which/that) deals with the pain of isolated existence from society.

If both can be used, what sounds or looks grammatically better?

A study done in Israel (and cited by Richard Dawkins in The God Delusion), polled children aged 8 to 14 about the biblical genocide at Jericho. When the story was presented biblically (Joshua was ordered by God to slay all Israelites, including women and children, but to save the gold and silver), 66 percent of the children said they strongly favored Joshua's actions (almost exclusively on religious grounds). However, when the wording of the story was changed to "Gen. Lin" instead of "Joshua" and "a Chinese dynasty 3000 years ago" instead of "Jericho", only 6 percent strongly agreed with the general's actions. Most disagreed.

So, it seems tha religion was the difference between school kids condoning and condemning genocide.

Hmmm ....

Do you think that there are any exceptions if the answer is yes? Does God not understand that sometimes you just have nothing left to live for?

Saw it on Television last night, and it's all the new craze in UK and Oz. It's is perfect for Seniors, very slow and not lots of movements which can damage backs, it's really nice and great music. Tried to find a site but could not. A bit like a watered down tango, but not as active.

If you see a bird flying, do you "choose" to believe the bird can fly? Can you tell yourself, "I choose to believe the bird can't fly", and actually believe it can't fly? Ofcourse not! Then it's subconcious isn't it? Can you choose not to love your mother?

I say this because I have numerously heard Christians say people choose to be homosexual Oo um......??? People choose to not love Jesus. People choose not to believe in the bible. Since when did subconcious feelings become a choice? You tell me.

I just unblocked my Q&A so everyone could see what an idiot I've been in the past with my questions and answers. I've been argumentative, mean, rude...which is nothing I'm proud of. I've actually grown from being on this site. I'll apologize in advance for the length of this, but my question is, to everyone no matter what faith or lack thereof, can you read this with an open mind and if so, what does it say to you?
