Turkey has been secular, meaning it is non representative to any religion, including Islam and Christianity. It means Turkey gives more rights to women, not Muslims.
Didnt' the EU only form recently? How could they have a female in parliment before 1935 when it didn't even exist.

Right, so why then does Saudi Arabia ban women from driving cars, something every EU country allows?
Quite a few EU countries have had female leaders as well (and the EU didn't even exist in 1935 either).

I am Jack is right.
Turkey was and is a secular state and at that time was taking great efforts to distance itself as far as possible from disreputable muslim practices. You need to do you homework and not tell lies on here.
Meanwhile, in a truly muslim state this very day - Saudi Arabia - women are not only not allowed to vote, they are not even allowed to DRIVE a car.
You have a lot to learn about equal rights - and the first thing is that Islam is about as far from granting them as it is conceivable to get.

Oh wow... they had a woman once in Parliament. Go them! And also "good for them" for making women believe that raising a family and doing their husbands' every whim will fulfill them as individuals.
That might have been true, but fact is that muslim countries raise most women to be mediocre and not want anything aside being a housewife.

The only rights that muslim men give the women are right upper cuts. They slope off to pray and show how good they are, next minute they are in the sex shops of Leicester before going home and having a go at their wife.

Wasn't turkey a militantly secular state under Ataturk?
Even hijab was outlawed. Heck, he got rid of the caliphate......and warned against religion. So your point kind of falls flat as Turkey was not a muslim state, so the credit would go to Ataturk's secular nationalism..
I liked Ataturk, by the way

Uh-huh. And there's no such thing as female circumcision. Or honor killings. And the Taliban never forbade women to go to school, or hold jobs. There are no groups of "religious police" in Muslim countries looking for women dressed "immodestly" and killing them. And...
Oh, why bother.

I do not believe this questions is true. They have almost no rights that is what I think. They have the right to wear a sack around their entire body, they have the right to not drive a car. Who are you trying to fool here, must be your self.
Your women have so few rights. They are treated like property.
