purgatory, the concept, still exists. it is what that preiod of time is when we are waiting to stand before God, standing before God in judgement and the final purification of our sins. in scriptures we are told that some sins are forgiven in this life and some in the next. also that all we have done will be tested in fire..... just like the word rapture isn't in the bible - it's the name given to the concept.
BTW - the silly people who commented about $$$, yeah, they are wrong - period.

Happy Monday!

Current stance? Wait a bit it might change ...to suit the circumstances.
Remember, the Vatican forgave! Galileo Galilei...about 4 years ago!
It's worse that a comedy. It's a farce and not a well scripted one at that.

Purgatory remains, and always will remain a part of the authentic doctrine of the Catholic church.

Odds are, it will also remain totally misunderstood by protestants, who seem to be unable to grasp the theological and biblical truth of it.

I'm not a catholic myself but whatever their stance, there is no scriptural basis for such a place as purgatory.

The more you donate to the church, the sooner you will get out of there. It depends on your pocketbook, (just kidding) There is no such thing as purgatory.

purgatory went to hell in a hand basket, but i dont know what they did with all those souls... it used include people who were not baptized. and missing church on sunday used to be an unforgivable sin, but i think that one is still on the books...
