Seeing as it isn't possible for the "devil" to possess somebody, I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Besides, even if some sort of fantastical devil creature existed, what makes the person you know special enough to make the demon want to possess them? Surely the devil/demon would gain more power by possessing someone of a high political status in our world.

I would first suggest taking them to a psychologist or psychiatrist to see if they are mentally ill. That is more likely the case than demonic possession but I don't really know anything about this person's actions. Try to bring them to a church and sprinkle some holy water on them. If they protest stepping inside a church perhaps talk to a priest about an exorcism.

It's good that you can have a sense of humor about it. They either really are possessed by a demon or they could have schizophrenia. Honestly, I think some preachers have helped or cured Schizos using the power of the mind. Mind over matter sort of thing. If they really believe the demon is out and the demon part of their mind believes it then maybe it is.

On the other hand maybe it is a demon. Either way be careful. I would pray to God and ask for protection and then I would ask God to help your friend.

Well, you could always try casting the demons out in Jesus' name. If that doesn't work, though, you might want to consider the possibility that your friend has a mental illness, rather than demon possession. Then, if appropriate, you can encourage the person to seek treatment (although s/he might not want your help after you've tried to cast demons out of him/her).

I would definitely not go so far as to drill holes in the person's head to let the demons out. And, yes, that has actually been done before.

I don't know what u should do but last night my step dad was acting like he was possessed and was Friday the 13th with a full moon. He was growling and saying his name was Matt when it isn't. He chased all our neighbours and attacked some so loads of police had to restrain him and he had to go to hospital. He says he doesn't remember anything but I will never forget what happened. I also searched for symptoms and all them were true. I know this doesn't answer your question but I thought id just tell u my story and experience xxx

Ask them to cease the practice that invited the demon in the first place.

(Exodus 20:4-5) “You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation, in the case of those who hate me;

Are they handling ICONS.

(Acts 17:29) “Seeing, therefore, that we are the progeny of God, we ought not to imagine that the Divine Being is like gold or silver or stone, like something sculptured by the art and contrivance of man.

If I TRULY believed that, I would speak with a religious person, like a minister or a priest. If he felt it was appropriate, I would find a way to introduce my friend to this religious person. I think there are many churches and priests that believe that this sort of thing is possible.

You may see your friend what religious he believe in.... bring him to medium to settle with the devil or demon.
But how do you judge that your friend is possessed by the devil or a demon. Most likely the person is living in his own world. He himself also do not what he is doing.
Let him relax his mind and try to soothe him down...

When I was 11 years old I went through a series of four exorcisms that my mother approved of and participated in because her VERY religious family insisted I was posesed by demons. The pastor that did the first two exorcisms first decided that I was possessed by A demon, then by Several demons. After having four people pin me down on the kitchen table while he kept commanding the demon (or eventually demons) to come out he confessed that the demons possessing me were too powerful for him and that a specialist was needed (they were protastant). Another pastor was called in from the city (I was visiting my grandparents that summer on a farm in rural Ohio). He examined me and said that I was not just possessed by any group of demons but infact "The Legion" which was a group of 42 very powerful demons that served as the right hand of Satan. He performed an exorcism on me but claimed he failed and that "The Legion" was too powerful for him. There just so happened to be a pastor from Canada that was a preported "Healer" that could make parapelegics walk again and cure cancer and what-not that was touring the U.S. at the time and was performing in nearby Pennsylvannia at the time. I was taken to him and he claimed that I was not possessed by demons but was indeed the anti-christ. My "Vacation" in Ohio ended and I went back to Hawaii where I lived and I was brought to my mom's church every Sunday to be interrigated by my mom's pastor to make sure I was not going to bring about armeggedon. This went on for years. When I was 23 years old and living and working on my own with NO intention of EVER seeing or hearing from my mother again I went to a psychiatrist for depression. He diagnosed me as having a bi-polar mood disorder and turrette's syndrome. Turrette's Syndrome gives a person certain verbal and motor ticks. In other words they occasionally (or frequently) involuntarily say or do things (like twitch). I had never heard of Tourette's Syndrome before but I knew that I had involuntary muscular twiches and occassionally would involuntarily blurt out weird things (things that I could never think of on my own). My psychiatrist postulated that my mom and my grandparents could have seen my twiches or heard something weird that I said and thought it was demonic possession. I am almost always aware when I twich or say something involuntarily but there is some evidence that I might sometimes involuntarily say something and not even realize that I've said anything. On very rare occasions people have reacted to me very strangely and I cannot otherwise account for their actions. My experiences with the exorcisms when I was 11 ruined my relationship with my mother to this day. She still believes that I am possessed by demons and that she and her friends can perform an exorcism on me and get the demons out but because I am not christian more demons will just come back into me, so I have to convert to christianity First so when they do the exorcism no new demons can possess me again because demons can't possess christians. This is obviously insanity! I emplore you to NOT talk to this person about them being possessed by demons! Absolutely Nothing good can come of it and you could end up scarring them for life. There ARE NO Demons! No one is or has ever been possessed by demons. Serious biblical scholars believe that Mary Magdelene either had tourette's Syndrome or epilepsy and that Jesus heald her, NOT exorcised her! According to Steven Covey one of the 7 habbits of highly successful people is starting with the end in mind. DO THAT. If you approach this person about being possessed by demons how could that possibly end well? I do not know why you fear for this person or what symptoms they are exhibiting but telling them that you think they are possessed by demons is deffinately NOT going to help them. My name is Baron and my email address is belnorab@hotmail.com. Please contact me if you wish to discuss this further.

All I did was to pray first for GOD's protection and guidance in dealing with such crossed people. I talked to her and even reached the point of going our with her to keep her company and divert her attention to feel happy. To, at least, forget about the negative attitude in her. Then, slowly tackle her problem one at a time.
