Now that's a tall order!

Not only would it be very difficult to go into all the details in a limited forum like this (assuming one knew all the details, which I don't by any stretch), but how they lived varied by time period. They didn't live the same way under Roman occupation that they lived while marching through the desert under Moses. Goodness, they didn't even live the same way under Solomon that they did under his father David!

To answer this question for yourself, I suggest you break out the books and do a bit of research. Reading the Bible helps alot, but a Bible Manners and Customs book is a wonderful tool for this! Many larger Christian book stores carry them. Mine is a Nelson's New Illustrated Bible Manners & Customs, by Howard F. Vos, and I am quite satisfied with it. There are also other books out there on the subject.

You can also research the subject online, but beware! The internet is the public restroom stall of the world- anyone can put anything they want there, and they usually do! Especially with this subject, I fear there is a huge ammount of missinformation online, though probably some good information too. It may be hard to sort out the good from the bad.

Wikipedia may have some articals on it, but never take anything on there as infaliable truth. Again, anyone can edit that site, and they usually do. Nevertheless, it might help point you in the right direction, and give you some insight on the subject, and give you ideas of what particular areas you need to research.

I hope this helps, and God bless!

They were nomadic to an extent, depending on sheep and moving where the grazing was good, but they built cities and villages and more permanent farms and vineyards.

Like most Middle Eastern peoples they had several occasions where famines force them to relocate to find food, and they became a very agrarian culture, incorporating things like artificial irrigation and trades like fishing where practical. By Roman times Israelites and other people in the region had become fairly successful in agriculture and trades.
