Is Black Sabbath Christian?....I am trying to figure out. After listening to the lyrics to alot of there songs I was very surprised to see that they did indeed sound very christian. Also if they are christian why do they swear bite bats heads off ect. I was thinking though that it was awhile ago before ozzy went solo....Thanks Alot Please Reply

The whole bat thing was completely accidental. A fan threw the bat on stage and Ozzy thought it was fake. He didn't know it was real until he bit it's head off. And Christian musicians they are not. Besides I know alot of "Christians" that swear.

no Black Sabbath is not a Christian band nor are they satanic. One of the band memebers Geezer Butler, was very heavy into the occult and claims he saw an apperation infront of his bed at night that scared him to death. Which is how they got there name and is also the name of one of there songs. After that Butler kinda eased off the occult and went into a more gothic approach. Compared to bands like Tesla and some Swedish metal bands...Black Sabbath might as well be the Beatles.

When I saw them in concert, guitarist Tony Iommi was wearing a huge cross and every other fret board on his guitar neck had a cross inlaid.
I think Ozzy is atheist, but none of them ever were Satanic. That was all cooked up by their label to attract attention, even the band's name.
They were very young men at the time and didn't care, they just wanted to get out of that Birmingham ghetto, make money and meet girls like any rock band. Tony's conversion was later.
Their song "War Pigs" certainly isn't satanic, as it deals with the folly of war.

The man that put a crown of thorns upon the head of Jesus could one day receive a Crown of Glory from Jesus.I don't believe that this group that your referring to is saved, but I know that they could be if they want to except Jesus and serve Him.

no !!!!!!nothing is christian !!! even people playing and singing inseide the churches they are most not christians they only wants power and money and appear...black sabath the name already told us that is a satanic group!you can search out and you will see about the relations between satan and black sabath. behold to those people playing and saying they are Christians using styles as : rock, metal, etc

The rock group Black Sabbath is very demonic and does not priase Jesus Christ as the Son of God in any of their lyrics. Please stay away from this music, it will only lead you away from God and not towards Him!
