Has anything noteworthy happened while I've been away?

and

Should I return or not?

I will admit that I've missed this place, but it's been easier than I thought. Some of you did carry on messaging me on 360, so I've got a mountain of mail to sift through (all good I hope).

I don't have plans to come back, but I might if I'm persuaded to.

the right to know. When an atheist or gay wrong-doer is challenged to stop polluting minds, practising perversion and introducing destructive doctrine why does Yahoo block questions from Christians. Why does Yahoo deny "the beguiled" freedom of the knowledge of good?

My husband and I were invited to a party (pig roast)-of a coworker. This coworker happens to live in the same city where we work. We went to the party, had some food and my hubby had some drinks (I can't drink right now b/c I'm pregnant). After a little while I noticed one of my students was at the party. It turns out this student is dating my husband's co-worker's younger cousin. (follow that?) By about 7pm, I noticed several other students were showing up. I don't really know this co-worker, but I couldn't understand why several of my high school students were showing up to this roast. Even though I wasn't doing anything in appropriate (drinking, smoking, etc), I felt awkward and wanted to leave. I was fearful that I could not only be sending the wrong message to my students, but it was possible I could have seen something that I would be legally forced to report. I felt that my presence was inappropriate. My hubby disagreed because I wasn't doing "anything wrong". Who's right?

Pretty odd and random question granted but sometimes I'm watching TV or a movie and I see America on there and I think - everything is so beautiful in the States.

What are your views on England and would you ever consider living here?

Prophets within all religions seem to be just taken at their word, this I, and most rational people, find hard to understand. if someone came out today and claimed to be a Prophet of God, that he had the answers to salvation and the key to heaven through his visions of God; wouldn't you instantly condemn this person as a nutter!? everyone would want to see proof, evidence, facts, anything that would substantiate his claims? Modern society trusts nothing without facts and
the only evidence you have is the trust and faith that you put into your religious texts; but how credible are they? and how do you think they hold up to the modern day beliefs?

isn't it just a case of faith and trust, that what these Prophets say is truth?

Do you ever just dry, dress and leave?

First facial moisturizer, eye drops, lip conditioner, then deodorant, lotion, powder, then maybe a spritz of fragrance, then decide what's new to do with your hair...

I used to think people who joined Mensa and other intellegence-based organizations were unnecessarily pretentious and conceited, lacking proper modesty, but lately I'm beginning to re-think my viewpoint. After constantly dealing with morons, it might be pleasant to have dealings with people who aren't so dumb.

On the other hand Mensa members are possibly ungracious, lacking social and diplomatic skills, with sharp personalities.

There may be no winning here. If someone asks you The Meaning of Life, it could be to train tolerance for monkey-like primates creeping and climbing around, under, and over us while they shriek and poop on themselves and one another.

Now that I have gotten rid of him,why am I sooo sad. He started punching walls when he got angryand yelling.?
met a man online in June.He and I started dating on June 20th. We have been seeing each other almost everyday/weekend since. The relationship started to become very uncomfortable. He would make rude comments about me,my home,my up bringing.I told him that I didnt want to be in a relationship anymore. He said"Why,I like you.We can work this out.Lets talk about this.I want you to be my girlfriend." I felt bad for hurting his feelings so we stayed together.I went through a divorce from an abusive man last year and I told this guy about it. When we went skydiving two weeks ago he made fun of the abuse!! He said"All Brian had to do was slap you around to get you to marry him." When we got back home I told him to never call me again. No Emails.Nothing. He called and Emailed and said "Oh,I'm sorry.I only want you to be my girlfriend.I'm so alone! Why wont you be with me?No one wants to be with me!" We got back together. How do I make him go away?Should I just ignore him from now on.I dont know?

He could have left it out of the Garden. If He had done that, the world have been the way He wanted it to be, would it not? Would the reason for putting the tree in the Garden be that God wanted sin? Satan was already there! Couldn't God have destroyed satan, thereby eliminating the possibility of sin? Adam & Eve wouldn't have known satan was destroyed, neither would mankind. Neither would the angels in Heaven as they wouldn't question God's judgment.

So why do Jews, who comprise 0.2 % of the world's population (14 million people) win way way more Nobel Prizes than Muslims, who comprise 20% of the world's population (1.4 billion people)?

There have been only 750 Nobel prizes awarded so far. Out of these 750, fully 165 have been Jews, or 22%. Jews are hence, vastly overrepresented in academia. Out of the 750, only 6 have been Muslims ( 0.008%, or eight one-thousandths of a percent), meaning that Muslims are vastly, vastly underrepresented in the academic fields.

The 6 Muslim winners are as follows:
Lit
1988 - Najib Mahfooz
Peace (hehehehehehe)
1978 - Anwar El-Sadat
1994 - Yasser Arafat
2003 - Shirin Ebadi
Chem
1999 - Ahmed Zewail
Physics
Abdus Salam

Out of the 165 Jews :

Lit, World Peace, Chem, Physics, Medicine, and Economics prizes

The vast majority 74% of these awards were in the scientific fields (medicine, chem, physics). Out of the 165 Jews who won Nobel prizes, 126 were in the science fields).

I urge you, as a fellow Mormon.

He is connected with the CFR which is an extremely
corrupt organization. He is also a socialist, of course
that is no surprise seeing as most candidates in both
parties are socialists.

Please do not vote for him JUST BECAUSE HE'S
MORMON. I know you will all deny this, but I know that's
the basis for the reason you all are donating so much
money to him. I checked out Idaho and Utah's donation
records so far, and surprise surprise...TONS of
thousand dollar donations to Romney from both
states. Yeah Mormonism has nothing to do with those
donation statistics *rolls eyes*.

CFR...

Please I beg of you , don't blindly vote for your religion,
i am sure most of you will deny it.

... it's not intended to be rude just very curious. This from a guy first male born in USA in his family. Don't het me but just curious. The question is ... Why do black people consider themselves African American if nobody in they're family has ever seen Africa in 100 years. Wouldn't you be considered just an American who happens to have a dark skin tone? I feel rude... I just feel too many Americans claim to hold title to a place they have never seen, don't want to live in, nor have any family members in many decades. What's wrong with being just American?

Here's a video that summarizes the problem:
http://www.militaryreligiousfreedom.org/with-god-on-our-side-movie.html

I had heard about this from a speaker at the Ethical Society, but until I saw the video, I didn't realize how big a problem it is.

How do you react to this?
