I am a Christian, and I was wondering, STD/pregnancy concerns aside, is it that big of a difference to go from oral sex to actual intercourse... as in, is all the stuff up to 3rd base "not as bad" in the eyes of God, or since I'm already doing all the other stuff, I might as well be having sex?

And ok ok, maybe this sounds bad because I'm saying I'm a Christian and still participating in pre-marital sexual activity... but I'm just curious what y'all think!

You are at the check-out. The clerk hands you your change and/or purchase, and she looks behind you or to the side of you, but not at you. No thank you, doesn't bother to even look in your direction to make sure she is handing the change or bag to you. Should I just let the stuff drop on the counter next time.

The kind that tries to take over a person's personality. The kind that have escaped from hell.

I don't mean an ex or co-worker.

In "things" I count just everything: soccer/basketball club, legalization of marijuana, birth control, wars - never mind if your opinion is pro or contra (ex I hate racism which means I support any activity against it) - whatever it is that you would stand up for, give a voice to or fight against?

The Pastor preached that Grace is undeserved favor. We can't earn it. It is received through faith. We have to realize that we can't pay God for Grace from God.

Do you think that you have to do this & that to earn Gods Grace? Like maybe go to Church or be good enouph to earn Gods Grace?
Or do you think that you realize that your ability to do this & that is because of what Jesus has done for you already? That we can boldly come to the throne of Grace in hour of need (24/7)? Not that we earned it, but because Grace is freely given?

I think God is made up and I think Jesus was a liar, possibly a Criss Angel type of illusionist.

Many people have stated that the world would be better off without religion.

Is my understanding that this world wouldn't suffer anymore war correct? Is this what is to be achieved?

Isn't pride in your country just as bad? After all, you're supposed to die for your country (the same expression could be said as "kill for your country" but that doesn't look as nice). Hell, if you refuse to go to war, you're branded as a coward and an unfit citizen with references to your grandparents who fought major wars (but tell you, the children, never to go through it)

Why is it, specifically, that religion is a problem and not forms of Governments and other belief system?

I've always seen ANY belief, in anything, to be the reason why people do anything, good OR bad and not one in particular. Just curious as even Atheists come off as rather angry so they are no different. We, as individuals, regardless, I believe are the reasons for all problems

Thoughts?

I think the speaker is very intelligent and knowledgable.
Why do I have to believe in a God to be happy, why not just get real and be happy with what I have in this world?
I think Carl Sagan was a great example of somebody who flourished and didn't have to believe in God.
How can I get rid of this tendency to reach for a God to be happy?
Is there any happy atheist's out there that can give me some light?

Me and my boyfriend argue sometimes about religion because I'm a christan and am very passionate about God, yet even though he does believe in God his faith is not as strong and he seems a little skeptical, he dosen't mind me talking about it yet I notice that when I talk about God he gets really quiet. I don't push my beliefs upon him, but I talk about god hoping that one day mayb I'll rub off on him.
Yet I wonder if anyone thinks that if we end up staying together, having children, or getting married if this would be a bigger issue??
