The Pastor preached that Grace is undeserved favor. We can't earn it. It is received through faith. We have to realize that we can't pay God for Grace from God.

Do you think that you have to do this & that to earn Gods Grace? Like maybe go to Church or be good enouph to earn Gods Grace?
Or do you think that you realize that your ability to do this & that is because of what Jesus has done for you already? That we can boldly come to the throne of Grace in hour of need (24/7)? Not that we earned it, but because Grace is freely given?

jocko, Yes you have to repent & accept Jesus gift. You have to realize you are a sinner needing a savior. This is repentance. But we have to do the act of receiving Gods Grace. If someone purchased a pen as a present for me. He didn't buy it to sell it to me. Then it wouldn't be a gift. But I did have to reach out & take the gift that was free. The cub, Gods grace is a gift, not given because we do this & that. It is freely given. I could pray to God that I will do the rosery or go to mass or give money to so & so & then I will ask him to heal me because I did this & that. God can't heal me, because I will think I deserved the gift somehow by doing this & that for it. When we go back to works we are fallen from Grace. God gives freely. We just humble ourself before God & come to the Throne of Grace in time of need. You should listen to Pastors message this morning. http://www.riveroflifefellowship.org . The 11am service. Nearly 40 people came up to receive Gods Grace at the alter call.

Grace - God's free and undeserved love that never quits (Ephesians 2:8). The gift of God that comes as eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23). We did nothing to deserve it and we can do nothing to earn it; that's what's so wonderful about Grace - God loves because that's who He is. God bless you!!

Your Pastor is correct. In the Old Testament, man lived by the Laws of God. After Jesus came, the Age of Grace was ushered in. Because of His death on the cross (which was for the sins if everyone), we can come boldly to the throne of Grace. There is nothing anyone can do to pay God back for sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to Earth and to die for us. Yes, this Grace of God is free to anyone who simply accepts it.

It is the undeserved manifestation of Gods love. Knock and the door shall be opened 24/7.

Grace is a gift from God.

You can trigger God's granting you grace in a multitude of ways.......participating in Holy Mass, praying (especially the rosary), charitable acts, etc.

You can lose His grace as well.......but He has given us another gift to help us restore sanctifying grace. See:

no soul can go to God and demand what they deserve because God doesn't owe anyone anything. any gift that God gives like salvation threw his son is a gift that is undeserved. no one can say God i was good on earth you owe me.

Grace is freely given to those who ask with a sincere heart. YOU CAN NOT EARN IT!

So you don't have to repent, or accept Christ to be saved?
