I had recieved a Wii from a family member as a gift....I feel awful because they waited in line like 8 hours to get me one...Thing is I have Zero Zilch Nada interest in the console at all =/ Would it be wrong to sell it? Otherwise it's pretty much just sitting in the box anyways :|

You choose a fine line to walk. Here's the thing with that. If you have no interest in it and are not using it you might as well return it and get something else or sell it. HOWEVER, it would be good ettiquete to find a damn good reason why you did not like their gift and tell them what you exchanged it for. Or you could go the liar route and if they ever ask how much you enjoy it, fib and fib.

This is tough. Normally I would say sure, sell the gift, its YOURS and was given to you to do what you wish with it. However, you should only dispose of a gift in a way that the giver doesn't find out that you have gotten rid of it. It's not possible to sell the console without the giver finding out you have done so, and probably hurting their feelings. In this situation, I would give it back to the giver, with the explaination that although you appreciate the effort they went through to get it, you don't think you would get much use from it, and wouldn't want it to just sit on a shelf.

yes it is wrong to sell something given too you if you have no interest in it ask the person who gave it to you if they would mind you selling it or even offer it back to them but they may also see you as ungrateful so be be careful not to hurt anyones feelings if you think they may get hurt by it wait a year or so until they forget about the gift and give it to someone Else .

Take the high ground. A gift is a gift. It was given to you, and would be a sign of poor moral standards to sell it. If you have no use for the gift, donate it to a worthy charity.
