Christianity is marketed to the general population much more than other religions. You see people who advertise with idols, bumper stickers, catchy slogans, radio stations and music. Why aren't other religions marketing themselves and bragging about thier religion so openly like this?

Why do Catholics and other churches preach that billions of souls are roasting in torment in hell if God is love?
I am told Jehovah's Witnesses believe that God is love and not hurt people forever in horrid pain that I would not wish on my very worst enemy.
I want to know the answer cos I don't believe that God is that cruel.

How can Valerie Harper or anyone else dare say The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a cult?I doubt if she has studied the religion. First the name Mormons is not a correct name for the church. It is not Mormons church, it is the church of Jesus Christ, thus bears His name. How sad people call names that are ignorant of which they speak.

it's one thing to tell yourself that this is acceptable or understandble because
1) it was symbolic of jesus's future sacrifice
2) the animals were property thus it was a reasonable tithe

but how can you lack the ability to put yourself in someone else shoes and admit that this might be a justified contention for an unbeliever?

Is that the road you want to go down? Telling your self that this contention is a moot point and that these skeptics are insolently biased against god to have even brought up the argument. Tell me this is not so.

I'm gay. I feel gulity. I believe in God.
And I also believe in the Bible.

People say it's what god made what it is but maybe it isn't. Maybe it's just rationalize ourselves. I don't what is true. It's matter of choice. Someone choose to believe it and someone don't.
And I decided to believe it.(Please don't say anyting about my choice. Gay cummunites are trying to say that people are different and we have right to choose about ourselves. So I have every right to make choice for myself.)

But that means I have to give up Sex, My own family, love... .Don't say I can't be straight that's impossible. It's not something you can change.


I'm really serious about it. Lately I'm thinking about surgical options. Like Remove my prostate And vasectomy. So I don't have to tempted. People are fragile to temptation. Is it bad idea? I don' want to have child.

I just want to know what you guys think about it. Is it stupid?

Hey! On Halloween night this year, my church is having a "Trick-or-Trunk" event at the fall festival. Each middle school and high school Sunday School class is going to compete...
...they're each going to decorate one of their teachers' trunks with a theme (nothing scary, as it'll be for the younger children).
The most original one will win!

So, the Sunday School class I attend came up with the idea of a Cowgirl & Native American theme. (Some of us would dress up as cowgirls, and some as indians. We would form a teepee with the trunk of the car and maybe give out sheriff stars a Bible verse on each of them.)

Although the theme does not have to be related to the Bible at all, we would really like ours to have something to do with a Bible verse. (For example, one another class is thinking about doing a princess theme, since the younger girls are God's princesses. They'll use the verse that mentions this as their main verse, I guess, and they'll have a throne in/on/near the trunk of the

Some christians say that God does not hear the prayers of non-christians. How in the hell is that possible? He hears jews prayers doesnt He? What if someone is asking God to reveal Himself to them? Will God be like 'you dont believe in Jesus, so nope'

What if someone is a very good person - lives a simple life as Jesus did, gives to the poor, ect - is there a place in heaven for them if they don't believe Jesus was God?
