Till a` the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi` the sun:
I will luve thee still, my Dear,
While the sands o` life shall run.
And fare thee weel,my only luve,
And fare thee weel a while!
And I come again, my luve,
Tho` it were ten thousand mile!

That is so beautiful and what was nice as you had someone who did not make fun of you and continued this on to the end for all of us. So, I have both to thank very much!!
I would sing it if I knew the tune and what day this falls on. May by I can't say it but I can sure say the words!! It is beautiful to my heart and eyes and one day I hope to my ears.
Thank- you to both for all of this.

I would love to attend a Burns supper and Auld Lang Syne is my favorite by him. I have it on a refrigerator magnet in the original words sent to me from Scotland.
Burns’ verse:
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and auld lang syne ?
CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely ye’ll be your pint-stoup !
And surely I’ll be mine !
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We twa hae run about the braes,
and pou’d the gowans fine ;
But we’ve wander’d mony a weary fit,
sin’ auld lang syne.
CHORUS
We twa hae paidl’d in the burn,
frae morning sun till dine ;
But seas between us braid hae roar’d
sin’ auld lang syne.
CHORUS
And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere !
And gies a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll tak a right gude-willie-waught,
for auld lang syne.

I just came on-line and saw all this beautiful Burns poetry....how wonderful! Thank you so much....incidentally, Burns Night is on 25th January. My twin sons were born on that day so it is even more special for me. Hope my day continues as well as it has started. XXX
