I am non-denomination. I believe there is only the gospel of Jesus Christ. There will be no denominations in the Kingdom of God.
The only way one can be saved is through God's Son. Yet, there were men who were deemed righteous in the eyes of God and received salvation from hell or the place of hell known as the bosom of Abraham when Jesus went to them and preached the gospel. If they were not righteous, the would have been in the other part of hell were the unrighteous dead suffer in torment and await the day of judgment.
Now, if a man a would live his entire life never hearing about the gospel and died, I believe if he was deemed righteous in the eyes of God then Jesus would come to him and witness to him as he did to those who were righteous and died prior to Jesus defeating death.
So the answer to your question is I believe it could be possible, but it would depend upon one not hearing the truth of the gospel.
For to hear the truth is to be held accountable to the truth.

If God/Jesus created heaven and He is there and a person never wanted a relationship with Him here on earth, WHY would they want to go to heaven where we will worship and adore Him for eternity?
This is a no-brainer! God said if you don't come in by the door and Jesus is that door, but you climb up another way you are not gettin' in!
John 10:1: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
My "branch" of Christianity is that I am washed in the blood of Jesus and redeemed from my sin. I know I am going to heaven because I want to worship my Lord for eternity!

this question is good but when you said Ghandi i was kind of outraged
first of all Ghandi is a hindu
second of all hinduism makes more sense scientifically and socially even to an atheist
third do you really think someone will accept god and do crime and still go to heaven? think about it and if the drunk ding dong who wrote the bible reads this then scre*** u ******* telling others their wrong u ***********!!!!!!!!!!!
so nuhuh a persons thoughts and actions will shape their destiny also known as karma and after all karma is repaid then only then a person will go to heaven and i am a universalist hindu which means i do beleive in all religeons eqaul

Non denominational Christian.
Through God all things are possible. I don't doubt there will be some fundamentalist Christians with their mouths open when they see who God lets in!
For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; 13 for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them

Branch: protestant (charismatic / conservative).
The evangelical message of the gospel tends to communicate that one needs to have a "cognitive affirmation" of Jesus Christ. However, the intention of "believe" or "faith" is not simply some intellectual exercise, but a spiritual connection (a binding or a unity) of a person with Christ.
So, a person does not need to cognitively affirm the name of Christ, but rather have a spiritual relationship with God through Christ - cognitively, that person might have a different understanding.
(This, by the way, is a Wesleyan view of salvation - it affirms that an infant or a deaf-mute has an opportunity to respond to Christ because the genuine response is really a spiritual response).

They have to atone for sin, and they can only atone through Christ. Gandhi believed in the examples Jesus set, but Gandhi was not a Christian. You do not get to heaven just by being good, you have to seek redemption, sanctification, and from that you will find justification.
I'm Biblical Unitarian. Sorta my own denomination now - all the Biblical Unitarians are kind of extinct.

All have sinned and fallen short so I agree with the guy that said there are no "good people". We all need to have our sins washed away- good works alone is not enough. I wouldn't judge anyone and say they are or are not in heaven because we can't really say either way with assurance but Jesus said, "No man enters into the Father but by me". He is the only way according to the Bible. To deny him would be to deny God.

This is not an easy question, if we look at God as our Father who is loving and kind. We know that the Bible says Jesus is the only way to the Father and so I guess that is what we have to go on. I also know that there are many world religions that have sort of the same basis - a sacrifice offered for people to see God.

hmm. im a methodist/baptist. im going through the same thing your are. and i heard from the reverend. that there is a chance. that during the rapture. god will come to earth and get the people who believe in him. and the non-believers will stay for a while experiencing hell. meeting the devil. when god comes back, that will be your last chance. he will come back to get the new believers. and then you will be saved. i think you will deffinatly go to a heaven. but remember one thing. satan wants to destroy your lives if you dont believe in god, you dont believe in satan. satan is pressuring your life everyday. to make it even worse. its a battle for you every day. this yahoo answer thing is very good. how ever many questions you answer. the more you help fighting the battle between you and satan. if your a nice person. and after the rapture you believe in god. then yes of course you will go to heaven.

I think everyone has a chance at heaven, as long as they love Jesus and God their Father. Of course, you'd have to keep his commandments and not sin. But if you do sin, you should pray and ask for his forgiveness.
I'm a christian...I don't go to a huge church, but I meet in a home. I'm sort of related to the Amish in a way, but more loose about things and not as nutso about plain things. I don't think I've explained my religion too clearly.
