I am a gay Christian male. I have constantly been harassed by some Christians who judge me for my sexual orientation. They quote certain Biblical passages but seem to forget some of the most important words Jesus ever spoke.

Luke 6:31

"Do for other people everything you'd like them to do for you."

Luke 6:37-38

"Stop judging, and you will not be judged. Stop condemning, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and you will receive. A large quantity, pressed together, shaken down, and running over will be put into your pocket. The standards you use for others will be applied to you."

Also John 3:18-19

Dear children, let us stop just saying we love each other; let us really show it by our actions. It is by our actions that we know we are living in the truth.

I remember the night of the 31st December 1999. The whole world was talking about the mellinium. Presidents made speaches, all news staions broadcasted the ceremonies and it really felt that people world wide crave for peace.

Alas, there was 9/11. Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, Lebanon, and all the other major and non major wars.

WHY PEOPLE? WHY CAN'T MEN AND WOMEN LOVE EACH OTHER WHATEVER THEIR COLOR, RACE, RELIGION?

We need to appreciate life and love each other and stop fighting.

I was just woudering why would he ask you if he already knows? If he knows and you happen to know why would he ask you?

Oh yea, and I also want to ask what if you don't know why you sinned or what if you just sinned because you didn't know it was a sin and just wanted to do it?
What can you say to him if you was just doing a sin because you wanted to (not being mean to God if that's what your thinking)? What if you didn't know why what can you say to him? Is the questions called judgement day? What if you don't answer him what will happen? You can't go to Hell because you are saved and Jesus can't go there.
Is that walk you take to the "Light" (Heaven) a long walk. What if your legs just give out are you aloud to catch your beath then continu walking? (That's if it's a long walk).

My mom told me at an early age that God and Jesus wrote the Bible, she still believes that to this day. What is an estimated percentage of Christians that believe this or something similar? Jesus did not write the Bible and the writers of the New Testament came long after Jesus was dead. So why don't the followers of the religion understand this? Is it like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves? Who wrote that book?Who follows the Snow White religion? Amazingly enough Jesus did not leave behind any tangible evidence of his existence. No records of his death by Pilate (even though Pilate kept records of every execution and they are still available today) No grave site (one could argue that Jesus was supposed to have rode a cloud to heavan, but I find it hard to believe someone can stand on a cloud) And finally all Roman writings of Jesus came after his death, the Most common of which is considered evidence came from Josephus at about 90 AD. Where are the Stone Tablets with 10 Commandments?

My friends - even the shier ones - all love going out and getting p*ssed all the time.

There's a party tonight which basically the entirety of my year of the sixth form is going too and I just don't want to go.

I don't LIKE parties. I always feel really self conscious so I think... I'll drink some alcohol to help...but I have to drink loads to have any effect, which takes forever in itself and the whole time I'm just bored basically.

I'm not UNpopular at school, I'm friends with and talk to a lot of the 'popular crowd' and stuff..

Everyones SOO excited because we're all 18 this year, and they can't WAIT to go raving and stuff..

I wouldn't mind clubbing at DECENT clubs where you can just sit and have a drink.

How do we know that these radiocarbon-dated (an inexact science) fossils are of ascendant species of humans, apes etc.? How do we know that these creatures were not just extinct species? Humans aren't infallible and in the past scientists have made glaring errors (claiming the Earth is flat!).

I know there is micro-evolution but can we really be sure about macro-evolution? Believing in it surely requires faith, something that many scientists campaign against?

Faith-belief that is NOT based on PROOF.

many religious people claim that the phrase "there is a god." is fact while many Atheists claim that the phrase "there is NO god" is fact. The truth is however that neither phrase is fact or even fact based but they are both FAITH based. While there is no evidence to back up the claim that there is a God there is also no evidence to back up the claim that there is NO God. And yes I know that it is near impossible to prove a negative but that does not change the fact that there is no evidence. And saying that proving something is the job of those who make the claim is moot as in the case "God or no God" both the religious and the Atheists are "makeing claims" as to whether or not God exists. If proving God's existence rests on the shoulders of those who claim he/she/it/them exists then proving God's non-existence rests on the shoulders of those who claim there is no God. And remember, lack of evidence does not equal lack of existence.

In a few weeks I start my new job as a mailman. I'm probably going to see people in their yards while I'm walking around. What's a way to say Hi to people that I see, that can't possibly turn into a conversation.

constantly stare? I have seen this ALL OVER and NO OTHER group of people have done this...

Im 15 years old and i am NOT a s!ut by any means and im getting real sick of this. Ive noticed this everywhere ive seen latino construction workers ...

This has happened to me 1. in my neighborhood 2. In my grandmothers neighborhood 3. My friends that live in my neighborhood say the SAME THING has happened to them.
4. There is construction behind my house and when i go outside to put my dog out they all stop what theyre doing and look at me.... until i go back into the house and shut the door.

If you dont belive in God, what do you do when you come up against difficult situations? Am asking because I was raised to believe the things of christianity but never really was a "hard core" christian. Now that I question the validity of the bible(although I believe that some of the things are too supernatural to have ben made up..am clearly confused), I feel at a loss of what to do when I am in a difficult situation/personal problem because then here I am questioning the bible but I feel the need to pray...to something/someone am not sure I believe and clearly dont have complete faith in. Has anyone ever been in such a situation? Particulary if you were a christian...How did you get through whatver the situation? Did you turn back to God despite your doubts??
