I asked this question a few hours ago (the early morning crowd), and judging by the answers I got, I'd say there is a great deal of animosity toward Christianity.

The problem seems to be that Christians believe that they have every right to practice their religion, to pray wherever they may happen to find themselves (yes, even in public), to believe and say that abortion is nothing less than murder, to believe and say that homosexuality is a sin...
Are we all aware that there are other religions in America that have similar beliefs?
So, six hours later, and a whole new crowd. Tell me, honestly, what do you think?

Okay explain to me why it is that SOME of you , NOT ALL, SOME feel the need to smoke pot & get upset because I don't. I have some friends that get upset because I don't smoke pot and they feel like they can't when they are around me. They tell me something is wrong w/ me because I don't need to smoke, when I want to have a good time. I feel they are pathetic because they need some stimulant to have a good time. I don't put my friends down for what they do but they put me down for what I do. We don't have like heated debates or anything it's just they don't like the fact that I won't smoke. I don't think either way about whether they do or don't, so those of you that do and have a prob w/ ppl like me who don't why?

I really hate my job, and my workmates are arbitrary, nit-picking weirdos (freaks). Anyway, I go about doing my job, and do a great job, but our's is such a corporation where we get critiqued weekly, no matter what. Anyway, if I walk in, knowing what kind of harsh environment it is, and a "Jekyll and Hyde" workmate says 'hi' to me, and I don't say anything back (but go about doing a complete and efficient job), am I OK, or can I be reprimanded for being "uncourteous?"

Isn't relativism just an -ism of convenience, for people always shirking accountability for their actions or looking for a way out of everything?

With all the murder, child abuse, war, rape, starvation - don't you think it's swell that people are sure to give Him props when accepting awards?

He seems especially busy during Grammy season, but doesn't seem to care so much about the Oscars. Do you find that odd?

I feel a little awkward in asking this, due to all of the flatulence questions that have been popping up today, but if I don't ask, I might forget about it, so here goes.

Whenever I go to the bathroom to do Number Two, I always open the bathroom window, regardless of the time of year or whether or not the air conditioner is on. Then, after I'm done, I close the window back up (unless it was already open to begin with). In a way, it just seems cleaner (not sure if that's the best word for it or not).

What are (if any) mythological creatures that look human on the first glance, but are not?

2007-09-15 06:09:35 · 12 answers · asked by Anamarie 2 in Mythology & Folklore

I watched it when it first started up in the 80s, and it actually had "music videos" up until about 1990-91. Then rap came out and I thought it would go away like disco did, but we who listen to actual music were not so lucky. Then the reality shows started, first with The Real World then all downhill from there, you will find some of the most pathtic people on these shows. MTV has created a culture of selfishness, envy, and greed that has been passed onto many children and young adults who have grown up watching this network. Im totally aganist any censorship of art and music, but the damage MTV has done along with our movie industries American Pie culture has made our youth lose its moral compass. Im not religious, I just understand whats right and wrong most of the time, and MTV is just wrong. The Osbournes show was just sad, Im a metalhead and this show sickened me. A great metal Icon brought to his knees in my mind by MTV and his greedy wife. My rants over.
