Never thought about it, but, gee, I guess if you went camping and forgot your can opener you could always whip out your pocket bible and pray over it for the can to open itself.

That depends on what the Christian is attempting to use the bible or swiss army knife for.

Well let's see . . .

With a Swiss army knife, one can feed the body.

With God's Word, one's spirit can be fed.

Since the spirit is eternal, I'll take the Bible before the knife.

Thanks!

A true Christian has all they need for life and godliness, the Bible says. I'm a Christian and I don't have a desperate need for duct tape, a knife, or whatever that other thing is.

Actually, it is a supplement to the swiss army knife. Anything that can be done with the latter, good or bad, can be justified by the former.

Where are all these Christians who supposedly go around to Wal-Mart, the mall, parking lots, etc. and confront people?
I live in the deep South, the Bible Belt, and NO ONE here does anything like that.

Where are ya'll from?

There are Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses who come around now and then, but that is it.

I don't think so, the bible is good to have, but if I had to choose, I would go for the knife, because you never know who might run up on you and they don't care about your bible

I don't remember the last time I had to use a knife.... I eat my steak with my hands.

Alright let me break this question down.

Dictionary.com defindes useful as:
"of practical use, as for doing work; producing material results; supplying common needs"

The knife is of practical use for doing work, producing material results and supplying common needs. A book about any subject normally cannot be of practical use for producing material results.

Depends on whether the Christian is in a knife fight, or just a troll fight.
